Question about release schedule for waves

I just started Heroscape last month and was curious how the release schedule works. Is there a loosely defined time period of when new waves should hit or is it just completely random? Is it rule of thumb that a new wave is released every three or four months with a .5 somewhere in the mix? I have found a list with year of release listed, but not month. Is there any method to the madness?

There is not, to my knowledge, a defined release system, but it's about two or three waves a year, with .5s so far every even numbered wave.

TheRise of the Valkyrie Master Set came out around the fall of 2004.

Wave 1 was released in very late 2004/early 2005.

Wave 2 in the early summer of 2005.

Wave 2.5 in mid to late summer 2005.

Nerak at Gencon 2005.

TRU Lava around September of 2005.

Wave 3 in the fall of 2005.

Elite Onyx Viper Rise of the Valkyrie Wal-Mart Master Set around Thanksgiving 2005.

Wave 4 around February 2006.

Wave 4.5 around April 2006.

Wave 5 in August 2006.

Castles in August 2006.

Sir Hawthorne at Gencon 2006.

TRU Flagbearers around October 2006.

Wave 6 in December 2006.

Marvel Heroscape is scheduled for a May 2007 release.

The Swarm of the Marro Master Set is scheduled for a Fall 2007 release.




So it's about three regular waves a year, a gencon exclusive, point-five waves after the even numbered waves, and special items or store exclusives here and there.
