Peter Falk RIP
Surprised there wasn't a thread already. I've been under a rock & didn't see this until today.
He hadn't been well, but it's still sad to read about his passing. Between Columbo and The Princess Bride, he was a very familiar face (and voice, of course) from my youth. Off he goes: |

Re: Peter Falk RIP
That comic is a great mini-tribute. I loved the man's acting, he was a lot of fun to watch.

Re: Peter Falk RIP
One of my favorite shows I remember from my youth and that comic is so true.

Re: Peter Falk RIP
If you see his name in a movie chances are it was fun to watch and he was one of the more entertaining parts of it.
Just when you thought it was all right, someone made it alright. Good trades with - Porkins / xraine69 / mac122 (x2) / frylock / Ztimster (x2) and probably others I forgotten to mention...sorry. Last edited by AMIS; June 27th, 2011 at 02:43 PM. Reason: "Murder by Death" leaps to mind. |

Re: Peter Falk RIP
We watched vibe the day befor they released his death notice. It is still a great movie but you have to see it originally done on video. The dvd remastering cut most of peters parts to a bare min and really lost alot of what made the movie fun to watch.

Re: Peter Falk RIP
I recommend "Murder By Death". He was awesome as Sam Diamond. And my father and I still giggle when we quote him...

Re: Peter Falk RIP
Outside of "Columbo", Falk's smaller movie roles will be what I remember most fondly. The taxi driver in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". Max Meen in "The Great Race". And, of course, the Grandpa in "Princess Bride".
