This all transpired in the space of seconds, a series of electronic messages sent back and forth along the Soulborg chain of command. Omegacron had no "eyes," no visual receptors with which to perceive the world around him. Yet to him, the battlefield was alive.
In his internal network were a thousand scattered dots of light, each one representing a life-form tagged and tracked by the vast network of Soulborgs around him. In his electronic brain, he held his "hands" above the field, watching the delicate dance of lights unfold beneath him. Even though Soulborgs were not typically prone to self-reflection or imagination, he had a very clear internal picture of himself. Something deep in his programming, in the electronic instinct printed into his processors, was a man. Slim, humanoid, with glasses. He knew deep down the image of the man was his line's programmer, his....father, in a way. Most likely he had died more than a hundred years ago. But this man whom he'd never known was his only reference to how a person looked, so he thought of himself like that. His "clothes" were black, and lit with blue stripes.
Below him, the points of light scurried around like so many ants, the blue ones at his beck and call, the red ones slowly being snuffed out. He waved his hand, and a dozen Repulsors broke off and surrounded a larger point of light. From their radar reports, he knew it was a Deathstalker. With the flick of his wrist, exact positioning data was downloaded, streamed into the nearest Sniper's head. Without turning his head, the Sniper's arm moved to the exact vector required and, with microsecond precision, pulled the trigger. The Deathstalker's light was snuffed; blue lights scattered from its location towards the next target. Omegacron nodded, his hands delicately moving over the grand tapestry, total and absolute knowledge at his command.
The tapestry rippled. Omegacron blinked, checking his receptors. They were fully functional. At the very corner, from the east, came a wave, slowly tearing up his tapestry, his masterpiece, his work, replacing it with a mass of red, glowing stripes.
DOUBLE ATTACK
When Omegacron attacks, he may attack one additional time.
OMNICRON MOBILIZATION
Instead of moving with Omegacron, you may move up to 3 other Soulborg figures you control who follow Jandar up to 5 spaces each.
DIRECTED FIRE
Instead of attacking with Omegacron this turn, you may choose up to 3 unengaged Soulborg Squad figures you control who follow Jandar. Take a single turn with the chosen figures, during which the chosen figures may only attack. Omegacron must also have line of sight to any figure attacked using Directed Fire.
-Rulings and Clarifications-
Q. Is Omegacron a single-spaced or a double-spaced figure? A. Omegacron is a double-spaced figure.
Q. If I move Omnicron Repulsors with Omnicron Mobilization, do I then roll for Circuitry Overload? A. No. Circuitry Overload occurs during an Omnicron Repulsor turn. It is not the Repulsors' turn during Omnicron Mobilization, so Circuitry overload is not triggered by Omnicron Mobilization.
Q. If I attack with Omnicron Repulsors using Directed Fire, do I first roll for Circuitry Overload? A. No. The turn taken during Directed Fire is limited to attacking. Circuitry Overload occurs "after moving and before attacking," so it is not triggered by Directed Fire.
Q. If an attack from a squad figure activated using Directed Fire triggers Scurry or Smoke Powder 13, do the effects of that power remain in effect during subsequent Directed Fire Attacks? A. Yes. The figures activated by Directed Fire are taking a single turn, so the hitzone-removing effects of those powers apply for that entire turn.
Q. If I attack an opposing Omnicron Repulsor using Directed Fire, and that repulsor successfully defends and rolls a 14 or greater for EMP response, do I remove Order Markers from Omegacron's card? A. No. It is the turn of the attacking squad figures, not of Omegacron. That turn immediately ends (there can be no further attacks with Directed Fire) and you must remove any order markers from the card (or cards) of the attacking squad figure.
Q. Can you roll for Thanos's Rejected By Death power before using Directed Fire? A. Yes. The figures activated by Directed Fire are taking a turn, so you may roll for Rejected By Death once before you take that turn with those figures.
OMNICRON REPULSORS : TARGETING BEACON
As a Soulbourg who follows Jandar, Omegacron may benefit from the Omnicron Repulsors' Targeting Beacon attack bonus.
Power Ranking and Master Index
Much like Spartacus, he takes a bunch of points off the top of your army. But in high point games, the 'cronroller can be devastating. B+
