Another potential consideration between Unique and Event Hero is the ability to pick up and use Equipment Glyphs. I know there are other characters that have a similar thematic challenge to Equipment Glyphs that can use them, but I have trouble picturing Kong's giant hands utilizing human-sized equipment when they're more accustomed to picking up entire humans. I imagine tools for Kong being simple, large, and direct - like bashing something with a tree. Since the general preference seems to be to have him as a Unique Hero, I'll put this idea out there...

Primitive Mind
If any player rolls the 20-sided die to take temporary or permanent control of King Kong, that player may add 4 to the roll. King Kong may not equip or pick up Equipment Glyphs.

Yeah, I was thinking about the dinosaurs in general as other characters that don't make much sense using equipment glyphs. I figured there may be room for another power if the double attack gets dropped.

OK, played another game at 400 points and 6 Attack. Kong still takes too long to take down (even with Knockout smitten with him) so I think we should take Move down to 6, Life down to 8, and move to Public Playtesting.
