TRAMPLE: How would YOU do it?

Trample is an ability from Magic: the Gathering and is also represented in Arena of the Planeswalkers Quote:

O) TRAMPLE While attacking, if this figure would assign enough damage to destroy a defending figure, you may have it assign the rest of its damage to a figure adjacent to the defending figure. 1) TRAMPLE After attacking and destroying an adjacent figure, this figure may get -1 attack until end of turn to continue attacking adjacent figures. 2) TRAMPLE After attacking an adjacent figure, this figure may get -1 attack until end of turn to continue attacking adjacent figures. If this figure destroys an adjacent figure, it may move on the space the defending figure previously occupied if possible. 2.2) TRAMPLE After attacking and destroying an adjacent figure, this figure may get -1 attack until end of turn to move 1 space and continue attacking adjacent figures. 3) TRAMPLE If this figure destroys an adjacent figure with an attack, all excess crossed weapons symbols count as unblockable hits on any figure adjacent to the defending figure. 4) TRAMPLE When attacking an adjacent figure, if this figure deals more damage than the defending figure has life, you may deal the excess damage to an adjacent figure. Unlike other powers discussed in this series, this one has already been officially rendered. But could it be worded differently? better? Could more be done? So how would YOU do it?

Although the wording on the AotP is fine, I think to make it more like Heroscape powers, I would have:
"3) TRAMPLE If this figure destroys an adjacent figure with an attack, all excess crossed weapons symbols count as unblockable hits on any figure adjacent to the defending figure." I think the AotP wording is fine. It thoughtfully captures Trample in its essence. You're trampling over people and crushing them. That is represented in the "Destroy" clause.
