Bladethorne's One On One Duels

Me and my dad sometimes do battles that are 1V1 fights, usually heroes fighting, but sometimes squads. And since I've don't have anything else to post as battle reports, I might as well list these!
These will get updated weekly I hope, so check back for more! Here's a link to my larger battle reports.
EDIT: Apologies for the delay, my dad has been busy and as I have no one else to fight, the third BR is still waiting to be decided on and played. If I can persuade my dad to play some 'Scape for an hour or so, I might be able to get it up over the weekend, along with a much larger one in my other BR thread.

#1~Sir Hawthorne VS. Migol Ironwill

Ok, first fight up is Hawthorne vs. Migol. (note: we turned off SITB for the purpose of a duel. Hawthorne betraying is just against the point). I had Hawthorne (duh, he's my favorite unit), and my dad had Migol. We were playing on a custom map, which I'll try to get some pic's of later. So, we started with an initiative roll, to see who would go first. (rest of the battle we pretended it was same round) I got a 4, while my dad got a 6. Migol moved up, getting close to a single hex on height. I moved towards that same height. Migol the proceeded to grab it, and I went for some height behind me. Migol left his height and turned around. I foolishly followed, at the time not realizing my dad's plan. For a few more turns, it was a bit of a chess match, with my dad running, and me chasing, or doing the height dance. Eventually I just decided to get it over with, and engaged Migol on even ground. I rolled for BR, but only got 1 skull, so no second roll. Migol got 1 skull, making 2 with DS. I got 1 shield and Hawthorne took a wound. On my attack, 'Thorne got 2 shields and a Jandar symbol for BR. Migol rolled a total of 2 hits again, and 'Thorne whiffed his defense roll, putting him at 3 wounds. On my attack, thigns finally got good for me. I rolled 3 skulls with BR, and my dad got 1, giving Migol a wound. My second attack with BR got me ANOTHER 3 skulls, and another wound on Migol. Migol rolled a 2 hit roll, as usual, but I finally blocked it. Now, it REALLY got good for me here. Hawthorne got yet another 3 skull roll, proving he wasn't too girly to hit Migol. Migol blocked somehow, and I got 2 skulls for around 5 rolls, and on the fifth Migol finally went down. Victory for Hawthorne!!

#2~Krav Maga Agents VS. Elite Onyx Vipers

Spoiler Alert!

This one was a bit unfair, but that's just too bad for the poor Krav.
Krav Maga VS. EoV
Krav took opening initiative and charged out, nearing height. My EoV then moved up, and failed to Frenzy. Krav got a single guy on height, and took a potshot on an EoV, killing him (4 attack dice vs 10 defense dice.... I rolled a measly 1 shield ). My vipers slithered forward, engaging an agent, and failing to kill it. Remaining Krav grab height, and fail to kill and vipers. Vipers kill a single agent, and finally frenzy. Yet another agent goes down, and vipers make up for an early lack of frenzying with yet another frenzy, and kill the final Krav. Victory EoV!

[Claws of Death]

Pretty cool I've done this with Cyprien vs. Sgt. drake.

My dad shot at cyprien with his pistol, but cyprien closed in and used chilling touch. I whiffed chilling touch so i attacked. The attack inflicted a wound. Drake attacks, does 3 damage to cyp. that's 4 wounds (one from pistol, 3 from attack). i attempt CT again. It fails, I attack. I whiff it!!!! Dad attacks again. Cyprien goes down for the count.

The duels are great stuff! A friend and I tried something similar like this:

Select one card's worth of figures and place them on a map, then pick some one to battle them. After the battle is over, DO NOT heal the heros and DO NOT replenish the squads, and place a new challenger on the field. It is always interesting to see which units can beat the other.

Q9 would win what? We have a ban on him so he'll never be in a one on one.

There are a few big hitting heroes that can take Q9 out in a one on one battle.
Su Bak Na will lose more often than not, but I can recall at least twice that I've had SBN get a one hit kill on a full life Q9 in the past. Jotun stand an even better chance. Sujoah can hope for poison, and Wo Sa Ga can hope for coil crush.
Of course all of these are melee units that could be ruined by a proper running and gunnign Q9. But, the point is, I wouldn't say Q9 would win every time.

Su can hit hard sometimes. I got my best attack roll ever with him. A year ago he was on height attacking a templar and rolled 7 out of 8 possible skulls.

Q9 is deffenitely not invincible, I've seen him die to all sorts of things... most oftenly Krug.

I started with army cards at the low end (Otonashi vs. Isamu) with the winner going on to face the next unit up the chain (I also included single cards of common units). The winner wasn't the unit that won out in the end, but rather the unit that won the most match-ups. I think Thanos was the last unit standing, but Syvarris was the unit that managed to last the longest, beating out all the 100 and 110 point units and some 120 point units.

On a relatively flat or road-heavy map, I'd have expected Krug to make a pretty deep run. I suppose Sudema is actually a slight favorite against him if she just refuses to wound him and tries to petrify him to death.

Thanos beating the Hulk is pretty amazing.
