Rubik's Cube

For years this puzzle drove me insane. But I can finally solve this in about 1 minute. Can anyone else solve the cube, and what's your time?

Re: Rubik's Cube

I was able to do it in about 35-40 seconds, but it was a long time ago when I did not have much entertainment. Also, I solved it, but had no idea why it worked. I just followed the routine.
I think solving the Rubik the fastest is not as good as solving the Rubik using the least number of rotation. A simple computer program using group theory in algebra can solve the Rubik, no problem. Finding the solution with the least number of rotation is another story.

Re: Rubik's Cube

I can solve the cube using a mix of the basic and Fridrich methods in about 1:20. There's no way I can memorize all of those algorithms (for the top layer) in the Fridrich method, which is why I only use it for the first two layers.

This site was what I used to learn how to solve it.

Re: Rubik's Cube

My best time (years ago) was just under 1 minute. I usually do it in around 2.

If you haven't tried them yet, you should try the 4x4 and the 5x5 cubes too.

Re: Rubik's Cube

I do it in between a minute and two, but never trained in speed solving. I prefer the puzzle part, that's why I own over 20 twisty puzzles.

My favorite is the Curvy Copter
