The Book of Orko
The Book of Orko C3G DC SUPER SECRET EXCLUSIVE 61 APRIL FOOLS Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a modified Heroclix figure from the Batman the Animated Series set. Its model number and name is #026/Scarecrow. Tutorial on How to Paint/Mod this Figure _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - “Orko is a ‘Trollan’, a race of beings from Trolla, a world in another dimension. Trollans wear red robes, red hats, and hide their faces beneath hats and behind scarves [….] Trollans have natural magical abilities, including levitation, which they use exclusively instead of walking [….] Orko has always had trouble with his magical powers [...] almost every time he tries to use magic, it backfires in some amusing way [….] “Orko came to Eternia when a "cosmic storm" accidentally transported him there. He appeared in the Tar Swamp, where he found a young Prince Adam and his pet, Cringer, at the time a tiger cub, and saved them both from dying in the tar [….] “Stuck on Eternia, Orko was made Royal Buffoon by the King of Eternia in gratitude for having saved his son. Orko became one of Adam's closest friends; in fact, Orko knows that Adam is secretly He-Man [….] Orko has proven to be a good friend and a valuable ally, despite his unpredictable powers and the fact he is more than a little clueless. Sometimes Orko wonders how useful he is to He-Man, but despite his apparent cowardliness, he never fails to help those in need” (Wikipedia 2019). _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Orko - Breathing
NAME = ORKO
SPECIES = TROLLAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = MAGICIAN PERSONALITY = HAPLESS SIZE/HEIGHT = SMALL 3 LIFE = 3 MOVE = 4 RANGE = 4 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 2 POINTS = 75 HOVERING Orko does not take falling damage and may ignore all effects from terrain tiles he moves onto or occupies. MAGICAL MISHAPS 7 Orko may cast Spells as if he had the Magical Defense special power. While Orko is casting a Spell, whenever a special power on an Army Card or glyph refers to the Magical Defense special power, it refers to this special power as well. Before Orko attacks with his normal attack or casts a Spell, you must roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 7 or lower, Orko cannot attack or cast Spells before the start of the next player's turn. DISAPPEARING ACT 7 If Orko is attacked with a normal attack and at least 1 skull is rolled, roll the 20-sided die to disappear. If you roll 7 or higher, Orko takes no damage and may immediately move up to 4 spaces. Orko can only disappear if he ends his disappearing move unengaged. When Orko is moved with Disappearing Act, he will not take any leaving engagement attacks. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Orko - Breathing
Would 'Hapless' be a good fit, personality-wise? We used it on Bailey Hoskins. Not sure it'll ever be up for synergy, but I like the idea of at least putting it in circulation so we could have the option of synergy for bumblers someday.
Already weighed in on this guy, otherwise. Dig the stripped-down Levitation. |

Re: The Book of Orko - Breathing
Thanks, guys! I struggled on his personality. Earnest might’ve fit too. I could go Hapless here, though over Frantic.

Re: The Book of Orko - Breathing
Competitive Checklist:
Does the design disrupt opponent's Order Markers in a way that offers a net gain in turns taken with strong figures versus the turns your opponent can take with strong figures (Ozymandias, Joker (I), Meteorite)? No Does the design offer auto-wounding that either doesn't require taking turns or is otherwise extremely efficient (War Machine, Jason Voorhees, Cosmic Cube)? No Does the design immobilize figures or prevent turn-taking (Blob, Spider-Girl, Diablo, Green Lantern Alan)? No Does the design move opponent's figures in a way that's easy to pull off and can move figures multiple spaces in multiple directions (Graviton, Magneto, Vulture)? No Does the design allow for moving friendly figures without taking turns, or for moving 2+ friendly figures while still taking a turn (Martian Manhunter [I], Green Lantern John, Angel)? No Does the figure allow for two figures, one of them being a wide range of possible figures, to both attack on a single Order Marker (Zombie, Robot, Iron Patriot, Ms. Marvel, Rocket [II], Martian Manhunter [II], Nebula, Baby Groot, Havok)? No Does the design offer any sort of passive boost outside of a narrow set of figures (Star-Lord, Sage, Brainiac 5, Captain America, Batman [III])? No Does the design help keep your allies alive just by being nearby (Daring Decoy, Aaron Cash, Jocasta, Weather Wizard)? No Is it OK for the design to have defensive abilities that could make it essentially unkillable in some matchups or endgame situations (Cosmic Cube, Healing Factor, Master Martial Artist)? No. Potentially hard to hit, but certainly not unkillable. If the figure has auto-destroy powers or powers that can force the opponent's figures to attack each other, are they balanced for strong opposing figures and/or boosts that can make the powers more reliable (Puppet Master, Psycho-Man, Enchantress)? N/A Is the figure likely to earn its value many times over by either running out alone at the start of a battle (pre-eval Crow, Solomon Grundy) or by sitting in the startzone until the end of a battle (Arnim Zola, Silk Spectre)? Likely? No. It'd be an Isamu situation if it happened. Will synergies in the design create concerns for future designs (Mad Thinker, pre-eval Enchantress, Star-Lord)? No Does the design combo particularly well with one of the design concerns above (Magma)? No C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
