How's this:

When a friendly small or medium figure within 3 clear sight spaces of Angel is targeted for a non-adjacent normal attack, or an opponent's figure ends its move adjacent to a friendly small or medium figure within 3 clear sight spaces of Angel, you may immediately move Angel. If Angel passes over the targeted or engaged friendly figure while moving, after moving Angel you may place that figure adjacent to Angel. Angel may only use Swoop and Save once each turn. Any figure moved by Swoop and Save will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

And I honestly think 150 is too high for Angel.

And you're right. After many playtests with him, I said he wasn't worth 150. He was more like 100 or so as he was originally and maybe up to 120 +/- with the new swoop and save.

I think that 120 would be a great place for the character to land. I really don't think he's that tough a guy.

I'm trying to think of what cards we can look at for precedent on this. There really aren't any powers that allow you to make a full movement on an opposing player's turn, though - they're all static. Are we sure we shouldn't make it a static move as well? Saying you may immediately move Angel 4 spaces might just be a lot clearer and mechanically straightforward, especially now that we altered how the "Save" portion of the power is worded.

First page needs to be updated to reflect latest change to Swoop and Save. Also, are we going to set his cost at 120 vs. 150? If so, that also needs to be changed on first page.

I have Heavy Hitter and Squad test with him already done with him the old way @ 150 (this at least will show that he wasn't worth 150). The change to Swoop and Save won't matter because they were individual tests. I'll to Melee Army and Ranged Army with him @ 120.

I got melee army test done but won't get to ranged army test until either later tonight or over the next couple days and hopefully get test sheet posted by mid-week. I'm just saying this now because I wanted to let everyone know that the new version of Swoop and Save is MUCH better and useful than the original one. Great work on the changes fellas.

One thing though, in the wording of Swoop and Save, would it be necessary to say, "...you may immediately move up to 6 spaces with Angel" or would the current wording of "...you may immediately move 6 spaces with Angel" cover it since it says you may do it and the may would also imply the up to 6 spaces.

I just wanted to make sure that some people couldn't interpret Angel's move in S and S as having to be the full 6 spaces. I may be just nitpicking and worrying for no reason, but that's me, just wanting to make sure about things.

Very happy to hear that. Swoop and Save is probably our most risky power creation this time around (risky in terms of will it feel too complex, will it be too confusing, are we breaking too much new ground) and I'd love to see it really pay off and reward us for that risk.

I like the "up to" addition, so I'll go ahead and make that change in Balantai's post as well. Aren't editing powers fun?
