Spider-Man vs Venom
I got my Marvelscape in the mail from Amazon today (woohoo!)
Here is something I was wondering. The only differences between Venom and Spider-Man are: Venom has 6 attack to Spidey's 4 Spidey has Spidey-Sense 11 to Venom's 14 Spidey is a smaller figure (which might make it better for getting our of LOS Question is, why is Venom cheaper? It seems like a 50% increase in attack power is worth more than a 15% better chance to avoid an attack, don't you think? |

The last time I played, Spider-Man had 1 life left, but he survived some 5 attacks before dying due to his spider-senses. During the entire game, I only rolled for Venom's spider-senses one time.

i dunno
I think having two more attack die is better than having to roll 3 more to evade attacks on the 20 sider |

I agree with Ullar on that.

I think that the subtle difference between the two figures justifies the 10 point gap and severely alters how they should be played. Venom is a more aggressive figure, Spider-Man is a more evasive figure.

15% additional chance to completely ignore any damage what so ever? Yeah, that's stronger than 1 more skull on average. You're looking at completely evading all damage entirely, even a 14 attack punch from the Hulk. 15% is a pretty major advantage there.

Survivability is a big factor in costing figures especially when you play by the official rules, counting only points for survivors.
In play, Spidey has proven to be more of a pest than Venom and Venom more of a danger than Spidey. Works out nicely |

I also just realized that
Spider man evades on 11-20 and Venom on 14-20 That a almost a 50% increase over Venom's evade. |

Spider-Man is much better, I think. 15% to ignore damage is pretty good when compared to Venom's. Man, I love both of these guys for taking Q9 down if you're mixing the games....
Q9 (in monotone robot voice) - pesky insect, taste my Queglix gun Spidey - Bring it on, you oversized bucket of bolts! Q9 - Fires at Spidey Spidey - reacts too quickly and swing lines behind Q9 Q9 - Duh, where'd he go? Like battle reports? Click Tourney Reports (New 10/21/2012 - Cutters / Brutes!) Its so true in actual play. Spidey flies off all of the time. Venom usually takes it on the tongue (so to speak).
