Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
I'm cool with low 400s fwiw. But if we want to up his value, more life, and a lower roll for his offensive power would be the way to do it.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
Yeah, the 5 defense makes him woundable for squaddies and mid-levels, but at the same time makes him easier to wound by 350+ figures.
He has a single huge attack, but only has a couple more lives than Thor but a lower defense. In an army test, he might be more valuable in getting the ray to affect more figures, and it will also bypass low life special defense heroes like Flash and GL's, so there's for sure value in that. Vs. a bunch of squaddies, if they don't line up in a row for him, he will only be able to kill one at a time and while they can't whittle him down with 1 wound attacks, they can sneak in 2 wounds here and there, especially considering how long it will take to kill them all with a big single attack. So like Bats said, bumping his lives by a couple and lowering the d20 roll to make it a more viable option would help in getting his cost a little higher than low 400's. Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
Also, if it's just heavy hitters being a thorn in his side, we could bump his normal attack up to 9 to help him bust through those Thor and Superman defenses more consistently.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor
I have run a few tests with this guy, it's weird that he gets disengage and immunity to autowounds with what equals out to basically an auto shield that only tiggers if it would block the attack. I also find it weird that someone this guy only receives 5 defense dice. Overall I am disappointed with the defensive power. This guy needs more staying power so I am considering the following changes:

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
Out of curiosity, who all did you test him against? Just heavy hitters? Squads are going to hate this guy with essentially Magical Defense + 7 defense. But I suppose it won't be much different from them taking on Superman and we are going for 400+.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
I tested him against Thor, Superman, Spider-Man+Commander Rogers, Iron Fist+Luke Cage, and Silver Surfer. And he only managed to beat the Silver Surfer 1 time and that was with 9 wounds.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
Yeah, if he can't even put down mid-level heroes that change sounds good for sure.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
Changes look good Tickle, squaddies will hate him like Bats said, but mid-levels hopefully will still have a fighting chance.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
I also think dropping his life down to 8 would be good now that he has a better defense power with a higher defense. I'll run a few HH tests with the powers and stats I posted above with him at 8 life and let you guys know how they turn out.

Re: The Book of Destroyer Armor: Design
Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Pass with one edit [see next post] - What should be the unit's point value? 440 - Give a brief overview. This was much better, without a special attack or multiple attacks or being an Asgardian you won't do well against the Destroyer Armor, otherwise you stand a good chance.
Spoiler Alert!
