It appears that when truth was uninstalling and reinstalling the downloads section the download's integration with the rest of the site got erased (i.e. the word and link in the header here). I fixed it.

In the new Downloads section:
thumbnails...
is there a size limit?
what types?
I've been trying a .png and no go.

and where's the link on ...community/index.php go?
thumbnails: the only restrictions I saw were max width/ height 150 x 150px and total upload size appears to be 80MB.

file types allowed: the system allows basically anything except png because Internet Explorer does not support transparency in png. Please convert your png to jpg or gif.

Where is this community link you are talking about?

should we post Gallery fix requests here too?

if so, look at the front page of the Gallery - there are user custom unit galleries all over the place.

I'd think that we'd want all the user galleries under one section, and only have a few special galleries highlighted in that middle section.

Truth added a gallery that ended up in a whole other 3rd section on the bottom.

And IIRC, the keywords seaarch feature in there was not very useable if anyone wanted to use it, since it enters multiple entries in its database even if they are the same. Go search for something in there (say, LotR) and see the results.

Thanks for all your work!

When (if?) all custom units will be recovered from the HQ backup, i personally will like to see them sorted by genre... something like:
repaints
W40K
rescuplted
HeroClix
MW and BattleTech

and so on...

Would you like to listen to my music?

The categorization of custom units has always been difficult - it's been discussed many times, and the best way to organize them is to go by creator.

The keywords feature is already there, to help people find units by whatever category they want (as long as the creator adds those keywords).
But I don't think it is currently working that well, since when searched for, the keywords return once for each entry, instead of showing all of that paricular word.

Yes this thread is for fixes to any part of Heroscapers.com.

As for your suggestions, I agree the gallery page is a mess. I've never even clicked into it because I have no idea what any of it is. Organizing it and making the styles match the rest of the site is probably going to be a big undertaking and therefore it is towards the bottom of my to-do list. I'm not even sure what exactly I am going to have to do to make these changes. I'm putting your suggestion on my to-do list, but I don't know when I'll get to it or if all of this is even possible for me to do.

Hi funrun,

sorry to ask about the same issue, but there is no download section yet. Can i have more attachment size meanwhile? I would like to attach the "World of Heroscape" PDFs to the thread.

Bye, Chicano.

Yeah sorry Chi, I thought truth had a message up somewhere about the download area being down for maintenance now. I will try to be working to get it back up tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A couple ideas:

1. Put some sort of info about who is in the chat room on the Forum Index page.

2. Somewhat related, I kind of miss the old HQ thing where you click on the users who are online on the Forum Index page, and it takes you to the page they are looking at.

#1 I would really dig because there are times that I see who is online and think it would be cool to catch them in chat. Especially since I am rarely online when the "regular" chat times come around.

#2 I can live without, but the voyeur in me really wants it.
