Character Bio - Superwoman is an Amazon native of Earth-3 and a member of the Crime Syndicate. She delights in using the Lasso of Submission to enslave others to her will. When their world was destroyed by a powerful being, the Crime Syndicate made their way to Earth-0 (the main Earth) and defeated the Justice League to form a new world order of evil.

• Superwoman works well with her Crime Syndicate allies, especially Ultraman and Owlman. Since her Lasso of Submission requires you to choose a non-adjacent enemy figure, it is best for Superwoman to charge right into the midst of several enemies. You can always retreat afterwards with Secret Orders.

So I'm planning to design the main trinity of the Crime Syndicate. These are specifically the Earth-3 versions from the New 52/Rebirth (but honestly, all versions are pretty much the same). The Crime Syndicate synergy hook is going to be the Sadistic personality.

This draft is edited a little from when I posted it in my brainstorm thread, but the gist is the same. Her lasso gets to control people but this one is in addition to your turn so even if you miss the roll you're still productive. Secret Orders was a fun power Ronin came up with for a different brainstorm that felt good to reuse here - Superwoman is the conniving backstabber of the Syndicate, and the power combos well with the Lasso's requirement of choosing a non-adjacent figure.

I think we've ruled that you can't look at OMs or remove them when you take temporary control of figures so you don't need that text.

Important theme question: How does the Lasso of Submission work? Does she lasso them then let them go and they're temporarily brainwashed? Or are they only in her thrall when they're lasso'ed?

If it's the latter, I'm wondering if they should have to stay within X number of spaces of her during the temporary turn?

I just reread Forever Evil to get the answer, and I can say I have no idea how it works. The wiki's explanation makes it seem like a temporary mind control thing, but she just uses it to torture people in the story - the mind control is something she threatens but never is shown using. I could see turning it into a more standard lasso movement (maybe causing wounds or OM removal or something) and nixing the mind control if we wanted.

Nah, I like the mind control, I was just wondering if it was weird for them to be mind controlled while not technically lassoed. It sounds like it's not clearly defined in the comics, so we have some wiggle room to just go ahead as you have it.
