Re: The Book of John Dusk (Breathing)
You did. It’s not my intention to be an obstacle for a design of a character I know nothing about, though, so please carry on.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of John Dusk (Breathing)
I like to take concerns seriously since the more eyes and scrutiny something gets, I think the better the end product will eventually be.
Unless I'm still not quite understanding (Very possible), I think the two easiest fixes are renaming the markers "Aura Shield markers" so it's absolutely clear what they're doing; or keeping them as "Aura" markers and forcing you to have one on the card to get the multi-attack on his Special Attack? @IAmBatman do either of those feel better to you? |

Re: The Book of John Dusk (Breathing)
I think the second one is more interesting mechanically, but either would take care of the wonkiness of what the card is doing for someone like me who doesn't know the character and is trying to get a read on what's going on.

Re: The Book of John Dusk (Breathing)
So if we go the second one, it makes enough sense even though his stats and execution also use his aura?
(And no I'm not being snarky, just want to make sure everything is covered before I put more work into him!) |

Re: The Book of John Dusk (Breathing)
The card isn't screaming that his stats and execution are using his aura, so I think the second one works for people who know the character well enough to understand that nuance and for people who don't know the character at all and are trying to glean his "story" just from the powers.

Re: The Book of John Dusk (Breathing)
Cool, then this would be the new draft. I'm getting about 260 on the calculator. Look good?

Re: The Book of John Dusk -Vote for Initial
yea
I'd go with something different with the last power name. Crossing The Rubicon doesn't really portray what's going on. "Going Too Far", "Forbidden Execution", "Furious Execution", etc. all sell that power's theme better IMO. Not something I really care about though if you prefer the current name. |

Re: The Book of John Dusk -Vote for Initial
Crossing the Rubicon means "going to far" or more clearly "Irrevocably committing to a certain course of action," so personally I think it's just as good as your other suggestions.
If we don't like the phrase, I'd like to use Final Absolution or something like that. I'm a sucker for book title references. This passes |
