Double-spaced figures and Fire Line

Sorry if this has already been asked before (I bet it has been, but the search returned an error message so there's no way for me to find out now).

If Mimring is breathing fire on a double-spaced figure in a way that both its spaces are in the line of fire, is hit twice?

My guess is 'no', because other area-of-effect attacks (grenades, DWs explosion) hit only once, no matter if the target is single- or double-spaced. But maybe there's a different ruling here. What do you say?

Doc

Edit: Typo.

Hi DrFeelgood,

welcome to the boards!

You hit the doublebase figure 1x with Mimring Fire Line.

Bye, Chicano.

Hi Chicano,

that's what I have written in the fantasynetwork.de forums and it sounds reasonable. But can you give me some official ruling or a certain passage in the rulebook that answers this questions somehow?

mmmh, iīm not sure if itīs written this specific in the rulebook, sorry. But you attack a figure - not the base. And on a doublebase stands just 1 figure which gets hit 1 time. Perhaps someboy else knows an official ruling for this issue... ?!?

Bye, Chicano.

reapersaurus is a puppet of Ne-Gok-Sa
what many people are wondering about is if the back half of a 2-base figure is blocked by a ruin from the Fireline, but the front half is not blocked, but not in the line of fire - does it get hit?

It's a wild situation, asked in another thread - with pics - I think waiting for an official answer.

Separation of Church and State, er LOS and range

EDIT: I was looking for that topic to which reaper was refering, to place a link here, but couldn't find it - anyone else?

I remember the topic as well, but don't recall seeing the official answer.

I don't want this thread to turn into a copy of that one, so I'm not going to hash out my opinion, though

Or when mimring has line of site with his front half, but there is a tree between his back half and your unit, can mimring fireline your unit, even though the line is coming from his back half but he can only see you with his front half?

I think he has LOS because you use his horns to determine LOS.

Violence is not the answer.

Make peace!
