Really, my only concern was how to respond to that. First, I had to figure out if I was too uncomfortable with it. Which I did.

As far as the whole "go for it, or don't go for it" thing. That's not really an issue (yet, at least). She's very recently divorced so I don't think it's a good idea getting romantically involved with her just for that reason alone. I do think we could be friends, though. If that develops into something else much farther down the road, then I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

The biggest thing in my mind right now is, "How much does she remember about the whole to begin with?" On the one hand, when I was involved with Della, her sister was the person she told absolutely everything to, so I'd think she'd know pretty much. On the other hand, 7-8 years is a looooong time, so maybe she really doesn't remember anything in detail. *shrug* Who knows? Again, doesn't really matter much. I just like to know what I'm dealing with.

I'm the kind of person who has a tendency to over-analyze things, in case you hadn't guessed.

Thanks for all the responses, guys. I just thought the whole thing was too weird to not share it. I'm sure at least a few people reading this got a laugh out of it.

For those of you who read this thread and either laughed, or thought "wtf?", I thought I'd give an update.

Deann and myself are now a couple... a very happy couple. I guess it just shows how strange life can be sometimes, huh?

I think "awkward" would cover it if it had been you and Della who were now the couple!

Q - "Are you one of those people who does The Times crossword puzzle in 10 minutes?"

A - "I have NEVER taken 10 minutes!"

Um, no, I think the word for that would be "disturbing"... in so very, very many ways. I thank god that that relationship (if you could call it that) never went anywhere! :P

...anyway... back to Deann and the present.
Awkward was definitely just the word for how this all started. Now, awkward would be the last word I would use to describe our relationship.
