Re: The Book of Condiment King - Breathing Period
NAME = CONDIMENT KING
SECRET IDENTITY = MITCHELL MAYO SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = MISFIT PERSONALITY = UNFORTUNATE SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 3 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 3 ATTACK = 2 DEFENSE = 2 POINTS = 65 SAUCE GUN Start the game with a white Mayo, a red Ketchup, and a yellow Spicy Mustard Marker on this card. • After moving another figure you control, you may remove the Ketchup Marker from this card to move Condiment King up to 4 spaces. • Before moving Condiment King, you may remove the Mayo Marker from this card. If you do, Condiment King will not take leaving engagement attacks this turn. • Before attacking, you may remove the Spicy Mustard Marker from this card to add one automatic skull to each of Condiment King’s attacks this turn. RELISH THE DAY Once per game, when another Misfit or Criminal you control is destroyed, you may move any of your unrevealed Order Markers to this card. If you do, for the rest of the round add 2 to Condiment King’s Attack number, subtract 2 from his Defense number, and when he attacks, he may attack one additional time. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Condiment King - Breathing Period
Yes, please. I think there are a lot of things we can do to trim if needed.
For instance, I'm not sure his sauce gun powers really need the Misfit/Criminal restrictions. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Condiment King - Breathing Period
I'd consider letting the first two pips in the sauce gun work with anyone. (And also dropping the clear sight requirement from ketchup) It'd trim some text, and his own class + the second power already push him toward Misfit stuff. And the effects just don't seem strong enough to really need restricted.
(EDIT: Ninja'd on the Misfit/Criminal restrictions) |

Re: The Book of Condiment King - Breathing Period
OK, let's try this:
SAUCE GUN Start the game with white Mayo, red Ketchup, yellow Spicy Mustard, and orange Hot Sauce markers on this card. • Before moving Condiment King or figure you control within 4 clear sight spaces, you may remove the Mayo marker from this card. If you do, that figure does not receive any leaving engagement attacks this turn. • After moving with another figure you control, you may remove the Ketchup marker from this card and move Condiment King up to 4 spaces. • Before attacking, you may remove the Spicy Mustard marker from this card and add one automatic skull to each of Condiment King’s attacks this turn. • After a numbered Order Marker is revealed on the Army Card of a figure within 4 clear sight spaces, you may remove the Hot Sauce marker from this card. If you do, that figure does not have clear sight on any other figures for the rest of its turn. RELISH THE DAY One per game, immediately after a Misfit or Criminal figure you control within clear sight of Condiment King is destroyed, you may move any number of your unrevealed Order Markers to this card. If you do, for the remainder of the round add two to Condiment King’s Attack Number, subtract two from his defense number, and when he attacks, he may attack one additional time. If that's not enough, I'll probably just drop the Mayo. (Which I'm borderline on dropping anyway). C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Condiment King - Breathing Period
Yeah, I'm more wondering if the effects of Mayo are really worth the mechanical overhead and hoping to get feedback on that.

Re: The Book of Condiment King - Breathing Period
You could tighten up the Mayo by just restricting it to Condiment King instead of giving it an aura. Hot Sauce is the real complexity offender here. (And, IMO, the effect that really feels out of place in the power)
If I was gonna tighten the power up.... (minor mechanical changes to Mayo and Hot Sauce, and dropping the clear sight from Relish the Day) Quote:
