Cage has to remain engaged while also giving up his movement to trigger.
Batman has an attack of 3. He can't use Assess Weakness unless he starts his move within 3 spaces of the figure he's Assessing, and even then it's a 50% success rate. Hardly effective if your plan is to keep him at max range and not utilize his 2 abilities that make him any real threat.
And since when was 5 spaces away from an opponent safe?
As someone who has played Cage & Friends as much as I have, I feel confident where I stand on this disagreement.
