Michigan Tournament - 7/18 - Results and Rankings Posted

We are all set for July 18th at Fun 4 All Comics and Games. Hopefully people will have a chance to (hopefully) get their hands on the new wave of figures and playtest with them a bit (assuming that you aren't already doing so with proxies). I have been told that Fun 4 All has 5 boxes on order for release.

This post will be updated as information becomes available to keep you informed.

Format

• 500 points - bring all figures, order markers, wound/special tokens needed to play
• 24 hex starting zones
• Fractional Scoring Rules for Squads and Heroes
• Swiss-style N-1 Rounds (see description below)

In any tournament there is a maximum number of rounds that must be played to determine an undefeated winner. For 8 or fewer this number is 3, for 9-16 it is four, and for 16-32 it is five.

Depending on the number of people we have playing we will play N-1 rounds (where N is the magic number of rounds stated above). At this point the top two players (likely both undefeated) will match up for first place. Everyone else will be ranked on total point differential and be matched up accordingly, each match-up playing for the next tier of places.

Note: It is POSSIBLE for you to play against someone you have already played against in the final round.

Not 100% sure. I have not really started planning yet. Probably we will play in Ypsilanti. Since it has been so long since we have done a tourney we will (hopefully) need a pretty large area to play because so many people will be excited to play again.

The latest information is that the new set, Wave 9: Blackmoon's Seige, is expected to drop June 30th.

With this in mind, and considering I have a bachelor party on July 24th followed by a wedding on August 1st, the date for the tournament is looking like July 18th. That would give people about 2 weeks to get their wave 9 and plan/playtest their armies. I am looking at doing this in Ypsi(lanti) as most of us are familiar with the store and there is plenty of room.

I still have to call Fun 4 All and make sure the date is available, but what I would like to do is get a tentative list of who is planning on coming that day so I can continue to figure out logistics.
