Castle clearance and Rttff stock at Fred Meyer

I did not see any related topics on the first three pages so I hope this isn't a repost...

Castle for $21 plus a 50% off clearance.
RttFF for $15.99.

Bellevue, WA Fred Meyer had about 3 more RttFF and 5 or 6 castles.

Hey dude, thanks for the heads up... to clarify, do you mean an ADDITIONAL 50% off of $21.99 and $15.99?

(cause that's worth a special trip to the store!! )

It's frustrating as hell to see these "heads up" threads on awesome deals in stores that I've never heard of, and exist many thousands of miles away from me.

I'm not saying you should stop, I'm just making a point.

"Grr" and all that.

I think they're in Utah, Idaho, Washington, & Oregon...making their chain curl right around California without ever coming in and saying "hi". I can't remember the last time that Fred Myers invited California to a store for a cup of coffee. But let's be frank here. They never wanted California's friendship. And uh, they were afraid to be in California's debt.

Wind, this is probably way before your time but in the 70's there was a sign at the Oregon/California border that told Californian's to enjoy their visit but don't stay. the sign was taken down sometime in the 80's.

The 70's weren't quite before my time, but I probably wouldn't have been able to remember it if I'd seen it.

Sounds like the exact sort of thing Oregon would do to California.

Oregon's totally jealous.

Indeed! As a former Californian myself I am still amazed at the animosity some Oregonians have towards our neighbors to the south.

Anyway, those of you on the boards that lament the lack of a Fred Meyers in their area, are really not missing anything, Fred Meyers (aka Krogers in other parts of the country) is a sad excuse for a store. They tend to have higher than average prices for most of their stuff, especially when compared to Target or Walmart and their selection is not all that stellar.
