Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

The first two rounds of the Ostrivick Regional has concluded. The full bracket has been updated for the single-elimination BIG DANCE in Post #2 of this thread. Thanks for reading!

OSTRIVICK REGIONAL

Round 1 - Battle 1 @ Isenfell

Zaiken's Water: Zaiken, Water Elemental x5, Sahuagin Raider x3, Fenn Hydra = 445 (#91, 1-2 -128 )
Valguard's Raiders: Dreadgul Raiders x3, Valguard, Lea Argil, Guilty McCreech, Malleus = 450 (#38, 2-1 +321)

A Dreadgul charges in early to take on Zaiken

The Fenn Hydra is surrounded

Lea delivers the final blow

March 15, 2020. A crazy rolling-over of the water army by the Dreadguls. True, the map didn’t really benefit an army who needed water to succeed, but wowzy! All of the Water Elementals, Sahuagins, and Zaiken were taken out early. The Dreadguls only lost one squad and Malleus suffered one wound. Who was left? The Fenn Hydra! Pinned down for the entire battle, the Hydra fought valiantly! Even two of his four wounds came from Wannok. By the end of the battle, Valguard, Guilty, and only one Dreadgul were left standing for 162 points. Valguard and his Raiders will tackle the 27th ranked Su-Bak-Na’s Dividers in the next round. Should be fun!

Round 1 - Battle 2 @ Road to Avernus

Akumaken's Stingers: Marro Stingers x3, Marro Hive, Akumaken = 450 (#70, 2-1 -175)
Gothlock's Chasers: Death Chasers of Thesk x4, Gothlock, Ogre Pulverizer = 450 (#59, 2-1 +142)

The Chasers make their charge!

Gothlock and friends threaten the Hive

Stingers track down the last one

March 15, 2020. True to form for a typical battle involving the Deather Chasers and Gothlock – they dominated early! Things were so depressing for Akumaken and his Stingers, barely a sliver of hope remained. By the start of the 4th round, Akumaken’s forces were down to 3 Stingers and the Hive. Only 2 Chasers and 3 wounds on Gothlock were inflicted, while Akumaken killed just one figure with his defense power before falling. But, the tide turned – and boy howdy, how did it turn! A couple of rebirths and a nice 4/4 roll on Gothlock took down Valkrill’s flagbearer. In time, all of the weak-defense Chasers were picked off. Bambam picked up the Witherwood glyph on his way toward the Hive, but was taken down by Stingers before he got close enough. Three mighty Stingers remained on the battlefield and one wound was delivered on the Hive. 173-point margin of victory in this slight upset. Akumaken will take his Stingers to do battle with the #6 ranked Mogrimm’s Grinders in the next round.

Round 2 - Battle 5 @ Battlefield 23

Valguard's Raiders: Dreadgul Raiders x3, Valguard, Lea Argil, Guilty McCreech, Malleus = 450 (#38, 3-1 +487)
Su-Bak-Na's Dividers: Marro Dividers x3, Kee-Mo-Shi, Su-Bak-Na, Isamu = 450 (#27, 2-1 +550)

Kee-Mo-Shi and Valguard go toe-to-toe

Su-Bak-Na dishes out some big attacks

The Dividers finish off the Dreadguls

March 16, 2020. Su-Bak-Na came out to play early to try to take out that high-lifer Valguard, who charged early to try to tie things down. The Dragon did, finally, kill Valguard, after a bunch of attacks, before falling itself. The Dividers divided 6 times - First two that were killed (but not really dead), and then three in a row to replicate previously dead Dividers in rounds two and three. And then one at the end. In the six divides, 20 was rolled four times – now that is some impressive 20-sider work! It was an up-in-the-air, who-is-going-to-win-it type of battle right up until the last OM. Guilty could be the hero! But, after Guilty whiffed on two attacks a Divider killed him in one attack and then the last Dreadgul fell fast. Anti-climactic for sure. Five Dividers and Isamu were left at the end for only 93 points. Su-Bak-Na and the Dividers advance to the next round!

Round 2 - Battle 6 @ Savage Corridor

Akumaken's Stingers: Marro Stingers x3, Marro Hive, Akumaken = 450 (#70, 3-1 -2)
Mogrimm's Grinders: Mogrimm Forgehammer, Axegrinders of Burning Forge x3, Migol Ironwill = 440 (#6, 3-0 +685)

Dwarves vs. Aliens - only in Heroscape!

Stingers make their last stand

Migol and friends punish the Hive

March 16, 2020. #6 Grinders were willing to take on all-comers. But it all looked very dim and very Marro like early on. Migol was down to one-life … before he went on a tear. Oh man, this Migol knew how to turn on the dwarf-jets. His last 4 attacks were 2/2 skulls for 4, killing the hive and Akumaken. Sure, the first three Stingers took out a few Axegrinders and did some damage on Migol. But things snowballed against Team Marro quickly. Only 2 rebirths in all for the Hive, the first and last try. Mask of Terror does not work against the fearless Dwarves by the way – which we learned. Mighty Mogrimm and the Grinders advance to face the Dividers in what should be a fantastically fun battle.

Round 2 - Battle 7 @ Bleakshadow Pass

Brunak's Fire: Obsidian Wyldfire x3, Brunak, Vadik Hollesturm, Marcu Esenwein = 450 (#43, 3-1 +504)
Quorik's Raptors: Beakface Sneaks x4, Quorik Warwitch, Tearik Drako, Izumi Samurai, Darrin Razorbeak = 450 (#22, 3-0 +388 )

Tearik ties down Vadik early

Sneaks aren't afraid of a little heat

All hail Quorik!

February 23, 2020. Yes, this battle was a bit ago, but I remember it well. I won . . . with one of my favorite underdog armies. Tearik Drako was taken out early before inflicting much damage. The Izumi were able to set up a nice defensive wall on one side of the map. And then Quorik came out to play as the Sneaks kept jabbing away at the Wyldfire. Quorik showed patience and would flutter, pop an attack here or there. Darrin Razorbeak charged in to give Vadik a few acrobatic assaults, but the real hero was the Warwitch – who is becoming one of my favorite C3V designs. After a lengthy battle of attrition and unlucky dice rolls by Team Fire, the #22 ranked Raptors will move on to the next round. At the end, Quorik had suffered only one wound, a squad of Sneaks hung on, and Darrin Razorbeak had a single life remaining.

Round 2 - Battle 8 @ Battlefield 23

Augamo's Vindicators: Augamo, Talingul, Greater Ice Elemental, Vindicators of Vydar = 445 (#75, 2-2 +267)
Urk's Brutes: Horned Skull Brutes x4, Urk, Goblin Dog Rider x2 = 445 (#11, 3-0 +360)

Augamo and Big Ice take on Brutes

Augamo saves Talingul

Augamo finally falls, but was the MVP

March 24, 2020. This one should have been a blowout, right? Undefeated and 11th ranked, the Brutes should have rolled to victory. Augamo and the Greater Ice Elemental came out early to play. Augamo was a Brut killing machine. Big Ice was not, but did nice as a screen for a few rounds, allowing Talingul to get some ranged shots in. The Vindicators were able to take down a squad of Brutes, but were not able to self-repair. Augamo finally fell to the last Brute, which Talingul promptly dismissed. It all came down to a 3-life Talingul against a 2-life Urk. Urk made his charge to get closer, but Talingul was able to make the kill as Urk’s dice went cold with no shields in defense. A major upset on Battlefield 23. Augamo’s Vindicators move on to face the Raptors in the semi-finals of the Ostrivick Regional.

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

Well now. It has been over a year since the last update. Some things got in the way of large gatherings, but we have been playing games here and there, mostly in one-on-one settings or private groups of four. We are down to the Sweet 16 – the finals of each regional. I have pics of each of the battles since March of 2020, but I do not have the time nor the will to get the reports posted (I can hardly remember some of them). The tournament bracket is located in the second post of this thread.

Here are the matchups for the Regional Finals. Following the army’s name are W-L record and point differential for the tournament so far. Full reports will be posted going forward as we near the end of determining the best 450-point team of all-time. Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

Five of us gathered to play through the Sweet 16 - here are the results of the first battle.

JUTANGUARD REGIONAL FINALS @ Ticalla Sunrise
Jotun's Raiders (5-0 +1258 ): Dreadgul Raiders x3, Jotun, Guilty McCreech = 450
Lea's Knights (5-0 +742): Lea Roan, Finn the Viking Champion, Lea Argil, Knights of Weston x2, Morgan's Riflemen = 445

Jotun and his Dreadguls came into the Sweet 16 averaging over 250 points remaining in their five victories. Impressive! Lea and her Jandar army also came into the battle with a perfect record but only, in comparison, an average 150-point margin of victory. Something had to give.

Round 1: Both armies pushed towards the sand height. Team Jandar decided to push Finn forward to tie-down Jotun. Finn got the first attack off rolling 2 skulls for a wound on Jotun, who responded with 4 skulls out of 9 dice for 2 wounds on Finn.

Little humans!

Round 2: It got crazy and quick. Jotun started things off with a 3-skull wild swing – Finn defended with three shields, but two Knights of Weston and a Dreadgul fell. Finn then proceeded to block two attacks by the Dreadguls. Intense. Finn rolled a perfect three skulls to decimate a Dreadgul. And then … Jotun felt weak in the kness, “What happening to me?” - a KoW uncovered the Glyph of Erland to summon Jotun off the sand plateau! But three KoWs failed in three attacks.

Jotun and the Dreadguls killed a couple KoWs. Team Jandar brought forth the Morgan Riflemen and rolled seven skulls with eleven dice from range to kill a Dreadgul and put three wounds on Jotun.

Jotun failed. Dreadguls killed a KoW. The first Morgan rolled a perfect 4/4 skulls to kill Jotun (oh no!). The next rolled 3 skulls to take out another Dreadgul. What?

I am Finn! And a stud.

Round 3: Five Dreadguls and Guilty were left standing against Roan, Argil, three KoWs, all of the Morgans and a twice wounded Finn.

Guilty came out shooting killing a Morgan and putting a wound on Finn while the Dreadguls killed a couple of Morgans and finished off Finn. The Morgans were able to take out a couple of Dreadguls in the round before obliteration resulting in losing the last Order Marker for Team Jandar.

Round 4: It came down to a battle of attrition. Lea Roan finally came out to play, killing a Dreadgul. The KoW killed the last two Dreadguls and put a wound on Guilty. The Dreadguls only managed to put two wounds on Lea Roan before exiting and losing on Order Marker.

Here comes Lea!

Round 5: Lea Roan galloped up to Guilty to roll a perfect six skulls with six dice to end the battle. Ouch.

Pea Shooter! Taste my long lance!

The mighty have fallen! Difference in the battle? Jotun being summoned and Team Jandar rolled hot dice while Jotun and team did not. Joseph was sad to see his favorite army bounced.

Lea's Knights had 163 points remaining with three Knights, a twice wounded Lea Roan and a full-life Lea Argil who did not set foot on the battle-field.

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

ELSWIN REGIONAL FINALS @ Song of the Walrus
Alastair's Warriors (5-1 +880): MacDirk Warriors x3, Sir Denrick, Alastair MacDirk = 450
MDG's Pulsars (4-2 +241): Pulsar Soldiers x3, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Gammacron, Zetacron = 450

After the round-robin pod portion of the tournament, 96 armies received an invitation to the big single-elimination spectacle. MDG’s Pulsars came in seeded 88th, but after three consecutive upsets, they arrived only one more victory away from the Elite Eight. Alastair and his MacDirks came in the battle with a strong 5-1 mark with some big blowouts and a narrow escape over Grig’s Gruts in the field of 64.

Round 1: The Warriors did the usual – move in mass to take the Xlipta and Ulvana glyphs and managed to get a wound on Marcus, but two MacDirks fell in combat while Alastair took a wound overextending. The Pulsars set up a MDG and Gammacron screen for the Pulsars.

Maybe Alastair stopped the Romans at Hadrian's Wall.

Round 2: The Highlanders came out swinging – Alastair put three wounds on Marcus with his broad sword, a MacDirk rolled a perfect four skulls to kill a Pulsar, and another put a wound on Gammacron. The Pulsars countered with two wounds on Alastair and a dead MacDirk.

On turn two, Alastair took his fifth wound leaving engagement to retreat to safety. A couple of MacDirks rolled 3/7 skulls to kill MDG and Gammacron, both rolling pathetic defense dice. The Pulsars came back with a vengeance, killing Alastair with two skulls and then killing a MacDirk with the second salvo. Only two big attacks from Highland Fury – this could get interesting.

Highland Fury sliced just below the knees to take out MDG!

Round 3: Turn 1 – a total of seven combined attacks failed from the two armies. Turns 2 and 3, two MacDirks succumbed while Dendrik and friends pummeled a couple of Pulsars.

Can Dendrik and friends clean-up this mess?

Round 4: Two more MacDirks fell while a Pulsar on height whiffed with five dice to die at the hands of one-skull rolling MacDirk. The Pulsars then killed another MacDirk and put a wound on Dendrik for the first time. Again, a Pulsar rolled no shields with five dice to fall to a one-skull rolling Dendrik. Looks of disgust appeared on my opponent’s face.

On the last turn of the round, the last Pulsar failed with the special attack. Dendrik charged the opposing army’s start zone to put a wound on Zetacron while his little buddy took out the Pulsar.

Round 5: Dendrik failed with his attack on Zeta, but a MacDirk rolled one skull to take down the big Soulborg to end the battle. Another defensive whiff and another look of disgust.

Team Einar rolled poor in defense for the most part, but the strategy of going after the MDG and Gammacron screen by Team Jandar paid off in the end to allow Dendrik and the remaining MacDirks to perform clean-up. Three MacDirks and a once wounded Dendrik survived for a total of 140 points. Highland Fury to the Elite Eight!

The tournament bracket can be found in the second post of this thread.

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

BRAUNGLAYDE REGIONAL FINALS @ Ticalla Sunrise
Kaelix's Guards (5-0 +1155): Warden 816, Alpha Prime Enforcer x3, Commander Kaelix, Drow Chainfighter x3, Dumutef Guard x3, Isamu = 445
Dund's Hunters (4-2 +584): Dund, Doggin Trackers, Varkaanan Darkclaws, Varkaanan Greyspears = 450

Commander Kaelix and his guards came in with a perfect record, the number four seed in the single-elimination extravaganza, and a heavy favorite to win this battle and perhaps the whole tournament. Who is Commander Kaelix? A NWHS custom that basically turns Guard common heroes into a common squad of three.

Dund’s Hunters arrived at the Big Dance with the 84th seed, but they have obliterated their opponents in the last three battles by an average of 221 points!

Is it better to be good or extremely hot? We will see.

Round 1: After some initial movements by both armies on turns one and two, the Doggin Trackers rolled three consecutive attacks of three skulls to put down a Dumutef, an Alpha Prime, and a Chainfighter, although the Chainfighter was able to hide in Darkness. The Guards countered by killing two of the three Doggins.

The Doggins come out to play early . . . interesting choice?

Round 2: A Chainfighter rolled three skulls with five dice to decimate a Darkclaw and then hid again with a 20 on the 20-sider. Dund failed his with his crippling gaze on Kaelix – that would have been a game changer. More blocks and hides ensued until a Darkclaw finally crushed a Chainfighter.

On turn three the dice continued to turn up red. A Dumutef and a Drow rolled seven skulls with eight dice to kill a Greyspear and another Darkclaw. A Greyspear and the last Darkclaw rolled five combined skulls in two attacks to kill a Chainfighter and an Alpha. This battle could be over quick as bodies lay strewn in heaps on the battlefield.

The Hunters have taken the sand on high ground!

Round 3: After a slow play with the last Tracker moving onto the Xipta glyph, the Greyspears came out chucking their spears on turn two, rolling ten skulls with twelve dice in three attacks to take down a Drow, and get this, Commander Kaelix himself! What a feat! In one turn! Wow! Kaelix’s Deadman’s Switch did finish off the last Darkclaw.

Could Dund and the Hunters do it again?!

The Guards lost three consecutive OMs after Kaelix fell. An Alpha and two Dumutefs were helpless, but the Warden was able to block three attacks.

Round 4: A bunch of defended attacks this round! Warden had eight skulls in five attacks come his way – he blocked them all while Eviscerating a Grey Spear. But then a Greyspear tossed three skulls to take down the Warden, who only managed one shield with his six dice. Isamu vanished. Down to it . . . can Isamu vanish every time to keep the army alive?

Round 5: Nope. After killing a Greyspear, Isamu only rolled an eight for Vanish. The last Doggin Tracker proved to be the hero. What a battle!

No vanish for Isamu. Dund's Hunters advance. Inconceivable.

Oh my! Dund in an army out of a field of 148 to make it to the Elite Eight? The hot army won this with precise strategic play and great rolls at the right time. A full-life Dund, a single Grey Spear, and one Doggin Tracker remained for a 173-point margin of victory. Losing three OMs in Round 3 was the difference. Who would have thought? Very interesting outcome.

The tournament bracket can be found in the second post of this thread.

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

AUNSTROM REGIONAL FINALS @ No Aloha
Mika's Assassins (5-1 +567): Khorvairian Assassins x4, Mika Connour = 450
Valguard's Greeks (4-2 +619): Sacred Band x3, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Parmenio, Valguard = 450

Shadows and light. Mika and her Assassins can play big and small - or get crushed. Margins of triumph include 394, 258, 223, and a couple close ones of only 44 and 28 points. Their loss? 380 points to Brunak’s Fire in pod play. Who will show up?

Valguard’s Greek came into the single-elimination portion with a 1-2 record and the 76th seed out of the 92 teams. After reeling off three straight victories by a total of 575 points they were hoping to keep the good times rolling.

No Aloha provides shadow tiles and a perfect map for the Assassins to dominate.

Round 1: Khorvairians set up for attacks from deployed shadows. MDG and the Greeks advance to the center hill to kill an Assassin. Parmenio hangs back while Valguard takes a stroll to the left.

Round 2: The Khorvairians struck from Shadow to kill a couple of Sacred Band. The Band roll 3 skulls with 12 dice to do absolutely nothing.

Turn 2 – Mika comes out to play to put a wound on MDG. Valguard and a Greek kill two Khorvairians.

Me! Mine! Mika!

Turn 3 – MDG is summoned by the glyph off the hill to his right and takes a wound while another band-member dies. Mika and team looks to have the advantage.

Round 3: Valguard struck with three skulls, but was blocked by a 3/3 shield roll by a Khorvarian. The Sacred Band cleared the middle of the map of Assassins by taking out two Khorvarians leaving six remaining in the start zone.

The Band killed another Khorvairian, who were able to get a wound on MDG but followed with four failed attacks. The final turn resulted with many ineffectual attacks. Lots of dice, little progress as Mika was holding on. The Khorvairians are only a shadow after all.

The Scrum

Round 4: The Khovairians failed in three attacks and the Sacred Band had no success – it was turning into a rugby match. Then, Valguard was hit hard for five wounds and Mika took one. The Khorvairians wiped out three Greeks who rolled one shield with 12 dice in all. Things were starting to break lose. Valguard and a Greek were able to obliterate two Khorvairians to wrap up the round.

Round 5: Parmenio finally moved into the scrum but more failed attacks by the Band as one falls from the blades of Mika. Pamenio and the Band fail again. Assassins slaughter the Greeks and put three wounds on Parmenio. Yikes!

Here comes Parmenio . . . who accomplished nothing

Valguard rolled a perfect five skull attack, only to see the Khorvairian leave in shadow. The Band was able to breakthrough with two wounds on Mika, who responded with a wound on Parmenio.

Round 6: Heading into the round, Team Vydar had a one-life Mika and three Khorvairians left while Valguard and Parmenio had one-life each, MDG was toiling on the side of the map out of action with three lives, and three Sacred Band remained in the scrum. Could the numbers prevail?

A Khorvairian and Mika die swiftly, and then so does Parmenio and a Greek. The forgotten Valguard kills an Assassin, but the last one shadows and comes back to kill Valguard. The forgotten Marcus strolls in to kill the last with one skull. No shield, no shadow. Battle over.

Marcus and his assault brings victory!

What a nail-biter! This one could have gone either way depending on the roll of the dice. The Khorvairian Assassins were able to pull the Only in Shadows power an amazing 16 out of 30 attacks, but it wasn’t enough. MDG was summoned and out of action for rounds but came back to play to be the hero. Only 75 points remained at the end – a thrice wounded MDG and two Sacred Band. Numbers and Life prevailed. Fun match!

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

Thank you good Typhon!

It has been hit and miss for the last couple of years, but we have enjoyed a game or four whenever we have been able to get together. We had some big tournaments early on with 12+ participants . . . and then things slowed down.

It has been very fun. I am eager to gather in one sitting to finish off the Elite Eight.

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

LAUR REGIONAL FINALS @ Back Alley Fight
Kaemon's Tagawa (4-2 +300): Tagawa Samurai Archers x3, Matsuko Kazumi, Kaemon Awa, Guilty McCreech = 445
Barbaros' Corsairs (5-0 +964): Kapudan Barbaros, Nathaniel Ward, Barbary Corsairs x3, Jean de Ascalon, Darrin Razorbeak = 450

Full of bravados, the undefeated Barbaros and his pirates arrived to the Sweet 16 after crushing their last two opponents by nearly 550 points combined. Ninety-six armies made it out of pod-play - Kaemon’s Tagawa were ranked 95th. Proving that all things are possible, Kaemon’s heroics resulted in three straight upsets in the Laur Region keeping their title hopes alive.

Round 1: The Barbaros and the Barbary Corsairs moved straight up the alley. Kazumi and the archers moved forward to roll a total of 13 dice in ranged attacks, but only two landed skulls to take down one of the Corsairs. Barbaros charged ahead, rolled three skulls to put three wounds on Kazumi. A Corsair rolled three skulls as well to take down an archer. Kazumi rolled a perfect four-skulls to put two wounds on Barbaros and then three archer attacks added another.

And then, Barbaros decimated Kazumi as the Samurai Commander again rolled no shields. Ouch! This army is going to struggle without their lynchpin. A Corsair took out another archer.

Barbaros prepares to decapitate Kazumi

Kaemon’s army lost their third Order Marker. Could it have been decided in the first round of the battle? Can Kaemon pull off his heroics again to pull a huge come-from-behind upset?

Round 2: Barbaros fell. Corsairs killed another archer and then rolled five skulls in nine dice on one turn to kill Kaemon, who pulled off one counterstrike, but whiffed on defense against the other two attacks. Another lost OM to end the round for the Samurai.

Corsairs surround Kaemon. Gulp!

To answer the previous questions – yes and no. The battle was over for all intents and purposes in the first round. No, Kaemon was not the hero of the ages. The route lasted until the first turn in the 4th round as Darrin Razorbeak provided the clean-up. Lessons for the Samurai army: don’t put Kazumi in a vulnerable position, protect him! And roll better dice! Oh boy – it almost got comical how bad the dice were falling for the Samurai.

The victors had two full squads of Corsairs, Nathaniel Ward, Jean de Ascalon, and a once-wounded Darrin Razorbeak remaining for a grand total of 275 points. Looks like Barbaros’ Corsairs will go into the Elite Eight as the number one seed with a perfect record and by having outscored their opponents by 1239 points.

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

KINSLAND REGIONAL FINALS @ No Aloha
Quahon's Spiders (5-1 +998 ): Fyorlag Spiders x4, Quahon, Wyvern = 450
Tul-Bak-Ra's Eradicators (5-0 +532): Havech Eradicators x3, Tul-Bak-Ra, Marro Warriors = 450

Looks like an evenly matched sweet-16 battle. The Eradicators come in with a perfect record while the Spiders only have one loss (a close 44-point battle with the Assassins in pod-play) and some crushing victories.

@Huskies16 set-up his Eradicator army in the start zone, cleared all the figures off, set-up a second time, only to clear the army off again. Finally, he announced that he was ready to play after the third effort. His opponent was already worried.

The Eradicators fanned out across the map, none within five hexes of each other. Ah, afraid of Quohan’s special attack?

Aquilla’s army sent out the Wyvern and the Fyorlag, keeping Quahon in reserve. The Wyvern inflicted some damage, but the spiders couldn’t inflict much damage against the stout Eradicators.

Eradicator got no arachnophobia

The Eradicator’s continued to spread, picking off crawling thing after crawling thing and then the Wyvern. Quahon was forced into action. Quahon killed two Eradicators but failed miserably with a couple of special attacks into the Eradicator start zone.

First kill for Quahon

In the fifth round, the Marro Warriors got their first OM, took out Quahon and the last spider. Game over.

Tul-Bak-Ra smirks as Quahon get only muster the thunder without lightning

Tul-Bak-Ra did nothing except take two wounds from the Wannock glyph. Yes, Quahon rolled miserably, but Huskie16’s strategy was exquisite. As the dust settled, one Eradicator, the Marro Warriors, and a dented Tul-Bak-Ra reminded standing for 167 points.

The Bracket is located in the 2nd post of this thread. Two more reports before the Elite Eight!

Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

BLEAKWOODE REGIONAL FINALS @ Ruins of Rennoc
Le-Orex's Hounds (5-0 +1290): Marrden Hounds x4, Le-Orex = 450
Laglor's Gorillas (5-0 +1126): Gorillitroopers x2, Laglor, Kursus, Josie Whistlestop = 445

This is set it up to the battle of ages . . . Hounds were barking and snapping in their start zone. The Gorillas were grunting in response.

Two undefeated armies prepared to square off in the Bleakwoode Finals. The Hounds were run by the Ginga-ninja while Nomad continued to try to play Laglor and friends to perfection. The Hounds have been hot, winning the previous two elimination games by more than 500 points total. The Gorilla’s have been equally as hot, winning the last two by nearly 500.

Nomad was too focused to jot down notes, but he did take many pics.

Roll!

Gorilla's podded to the right to pick off charging Hounds

Hounds charged, taking out a valuable Trooper

Gorilla's cleaned up the potential mess. Three down, 13 Hounds to go

Le-Orex engaged, crushing the 2nd of 4 Troopers. Yikes!

More Hounds enter the frey!

Hounds sent to the grave

Laglor took wounds, the last Trooper fell. Meanwhile, Hounds were sneaking around the other side of the map, but a well placed OM on Josie took care of the first one

Kursus Sonic-fisted a Hound for another kill as Team Vydar's only hope was to repel wave after wave

Le-Orex and a Hound finally take down Laglor, who was teetering for rounds. Only Kursus and Josie remain for Team Vydar. Ginga-ninja giggled.

Le-Orex and a Hound put a wound on Kursus as the other two remaining Hounds sprint towards Josie.

Kursus takes out a Hound before . . .

Le-Orex crushes him. Josie picked off one of the last two Hounds.

Josie - attack one, nada. Attack two - dead Hound. The last Hound inflicts the third wound on Josie before she kills it. Down to this. A 2-life Josie v a 2-life Le-Orex. Ginga-ninja stopped giggling.

Josie ran to keep distance, and then when the time was right, she rolled 3/3 skulls for a wound on Le-Orex, and then 1/2. Le-Orex whiffed and fell in a whimpering slump.

All-Hail Josie Whistlestop! The heroine once again for Team Vydar. A trip to the Elite Eight with only 28 points remaining. Phew.

Nomad and Ginja-ninja laughed, fist-bumped, and giggled with the fun we had.
