It's a little strange that, if you want to attack with three dice (not considering height, glyphs, or auras), these guys have a greater threat range with their melee attack than with their ranged. Other than that, this seems like a really good unit that I will probably use quite a bit. I'm not sure a five point increase is enough considering their other abilities, but time will tell.

It's the same threat range for 3 attack for both melee and range (don't move and range 6, or move 5 and range 1).

Ahhh, but the difference is that they have to risk engagement to attack. It's a great decision point.
