Austin-Con Heroscape Tournament May 4th 2019

Here is the list of glyphs for the tournament. Glyphs will be face-up. Normally two power glyphs and one or two treasure glyphs per map.

Power Glyphs:

Dagmar (Initiative +8 )
Holdir (Heroic Attack)
Kelda (Healer)
Wannok (Wound)
Yngvild (Disengage)
Brandar (Ignore Wounds) -- Once per round, when a figure you control other than the figure on this glyph receives one or more wounds, you may ignore all wounds just received. Flip this glyph face-down to indicate its use. At the start of each round, before order markers are placed, flip this glyph face-up.

Treasure Glyphs:

Treasure Glyph Trap -- When attempting to pick up a treasure glyph, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 1-5 your opponent may immediately move that Hero up to three spaces. During this movement that Hero does not take any leaving engagement attacks.

Elixir of Speed (Move +4)
Heroic Rune (Attack +1)
Potion of Healing (Healing 3)
Talisman of Defense (Defense +1)
Brandar's Chest (Opportunism) -- Before revealing an order marker on any army card, you may move that order marker to this Hero's army card and reveal it on this card instead. You may do this even after all figures on the other army card have been destroyed.

How would this interact with unit abilities that trigger on wounds being received? For instance, Acolarh's Leaf of the Home Tree Aura: Could you try to roll to save a wounded elf, and if that doesn't work, then pop this glyph?

You can do them in either order, so yes, you can roll first, and if that fails, pop the glyph.

Nope, it's a permanent. Gives you some nice order marker freedom, but no other boosts.

Thanks to everyone for coming! We had a full 16 players this year (including me), which is fantastic turnout. I apologize again for forgetting the glyphs. We played five rounds with random pairings. By pure chance the only two undefeated players (belrix and bmon) met in the final round for a championship game. A big thanks again to Codeman for bringing the maps.
