Re: Rocksteady
That's why I was asking about it here. Ronin was also the one that wanted 'ignore wounds' to be more universally referenced. I just wasn't sure if abilities like this one and DD's Go The Distance were suppose to be included in that or were intentionally excluded.

Re: Rocksteady
Hmm, yeah, good thought. I do think 'avoids' damage should also be in the lexicon for evasion themed stuff. Arguably Rocksteady is more 'ignoring' thematically/mechanically? Don't think it was as much on my radar here because the question hadn't come up before like it had with MD.

Ok, I didn't want to hold anything up. Or forget to update something. Thanks.

Re: Rocksteady
I'm a bit torn. On one hand I like the idea of Go the Distance's theme remaining in place where he just somehow stays in the fight when you think he should have fallen. On the other hand, King Kong knocking him out where others couldn't seems okay with me. Not sure who else uses a 'can not ignore these wounds' ability. Lesser beings than a 1000 point Event Hero I might not be so thrilled with turning off his key note ability. So I guess I lean towards leaving it as an outlier, able to shrug off defeat without ignoring the wounds.

Re: Rocksteady
Yeah, I guess you could reasonably view these and Go the Distance not as "ignored due to some ability" but more "ignored due to plot armor/sheer force of will that's unbeatable in comics (see: plot armor)".
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Rocksteady
Probably want a slight adjustment to the language for Clumsy Smash here, since "after attacking" comes before wound placement, meaning you don't know if the figure is defeated yet. Here's what I'd suggest:
CLUMSY SMASH After placing any wounds for a normal attack against an adjacent Small or Medium figure, if it was not defeated, knockback that figure up to X spaces. X equals the number of wounds inflicted with the attack. Then roll a damage die against each figure adjacent to the defender, even if it was not moved. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Sure, I can update that if it's needed.

Re: Rocksteady
It works within the timing of combat more accurately, yeah.
