Gen-Con based armies

Seeing that Gencon is a few months away, lets talk about competitive armies with released units (and later the new units).

I have several armies made, most are flexible and powerful!

Army 1: Marro Swarm
Hive
stingers (2)
Drudge (1/2)
Drones (2/3)
Total: 500 points
Uses: Gen Con Indy Heroscape Championship '09, Heroscape - General Wars

Army 2: Relentless Feylund
Krug
Anubian Wolves (3)
Kosumet the Darklord
Wolves of Bardu
Total: 500 points
Uses:Gen Con Indy Heroscape Championship '09, Heroscape - General Wars

Army 3: Mimring and Minions
Mimring
Minions (3-2 for dragon wars)
Zetian Guards (if dragon wars)
3 minions: 480
2 minions: 450
Uses: Heroscape - Smack Down (450), Gen Con Indy Heroscape Championship '09, Heroscape - Dragon Wars, Heroscape - General Wars, Heroscape - Big Ol' Monster Battle

Army 4: Warlords
Ne-Gok-Sa
Me-Burq-Sa
Marrden hounds
Grok Riders
Marro Warriors
Total: 410

Army 5: Basic army
Mimring
Arkmer
Syvarris
Sir Denrick
Total: 400
Note: modify to suit ANY tournament (except Lightweight)

What are your good armies?

personally i would change the swarm army to:
sbn-160(160)
hive-160(320)
2xstingers-120(440)
2xnagrubs-60(500)
500/20

it has healing,bonding and rebirthing.

That army only leaves 120 points to rebirth for a 160 point figure. The Hive won't rebirth it's value. Instead, just take away the hive and add more stingers.

Syrn, that is a good point, but I don't have SBN, or more stingers, but I thrive for it.

Re: Gen-Con based armies

I don't recommend the Marro Drudge for tournament armies. I know they're cheap, but they are not that good without swamp water on the map. If you have the Marro Warriors from the first master set I would use them instead.

Re: Gen-Con based armies

Thanks for the tip! I will do some play testing for all 3 versions of army 1.
