Marrden Hounds, the Marro Plague, and the Marros

On their card, it says that Soulborgs and Wulsinu are not affected by the plague. Does that mean that the Marro Warriors, Marro Drones, and the Marro heroes (Su-Bak-Na, ect) ARE affected?

Thanks

Chris

Yea, they have the chance of killing your own troops. It affects all the Marro units. Gotta be very careful moving those hounds.

Lots of folks assume the Marro Plague doesn't work on Marros, but the card doesn't say that. The plague works on everybody except Soulborgs and Wulsinu...those are the only ones that are safe.

Just think of it this way....birds can get bird flu, cows can get mad cow disease, and marros can get marro plague just like everybody else.

This does fly in the face of their bio, where it says that Ne-Gok-Sa travels with a pack. He must carry a mindshackled Kelda around for support.

Re: Marrden Hounds, the Marro Plague, and the Marros

Yeah, I made the mistake of reading it that way too, though looking back on it I don't know why. Fortunately I learned the truth here and not through losing a set of Marro in a game. Hmmm, guess some of my Marro/Marrden strategies will have to be adjusted...

Marro Plague... feels bad... smells worse.

It would be a real kicker to have the Wulisinu travel with Kee-Mo-Shi...

Marro Plague, take a wound... Toxic Skin, kill a hound... Kee-Mo-Shi gets to the action after having killed the last Wulisinu and she only has one wound marker left to go.
There's 220 points up in smoke.
Maybe, just maybe you'll be able to Mind Shackle that one Unique Squad... after you killed the other two or three members from Toxic Skin.

Re: Marrden Hounds, the Marro Plague, and the Marros

It seems like lately I've seen a lot of people using the Search function instead of quickly starting a new thread, Slayer Dragonwing being the latest to follow this nice guideline.

I'll try and remember to rep you when I reload.

I've still seen plenty of threads that shouldn't have been started - maybe I'm just seeing more people on the site than usual!
