IDK, I think I'd leave the Ally Obstruction idea for something with a little higher level of intelligence and just go with the plain Obstruction here. I can't see these animated plant vines as being something a random ally could coordinate in-depth tactical maneuvers with. They are just their doing their thing more on instinct than anything. They could get in the way of everyone equally.

I'm down for either or, really not fussed. The actual mini for these things are so thin that obstruction will be a rare occurrence as it is. I get that they're not intelligent enough to properly work alongside someone, so I'm happy with it affecting anyone. Probably leads us back to where we started, worded like this:

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.
