@ majestic goat. That would be great if you can come on up! You should invite Mrs. Majestic to play some scape too!

You would probably get her to play Camel Races (or whatever the name is) which I still consider one of the more fun games I have played (Thank you Majestic Goat). Mrs. Majestic is about as likely to play Heroscape as Mrs. Nomad or Mrs. Longy!

Hopefully it works for you to make the trek Majestic. It sounds like a good day is brewing.

Anything that's blatant combat she shuns - no HS / RISK / Zombie stuff... but she's slowly but surely becoming a nerd. She does love Camel (C)Up and Ghost Stories - can't complain too much - she's played most games we own and supports/contributes to us having a nice board-game collection! I wonder if I could sneak Arena of the Planeswalkers in on gamenight without her knowing...it's not TECHNICALLY Heroscape!

I have to say Camel Cup IS a good gateway game to reel people in...

I'm in for the 18th!

I will be able to continue my reputation of rolling impossibly crappy and making the rest of you look good!

Re: Everett, WA - Hero/Kai-scape Tournament 3/18

Here are some "Pod" ideas that I whipped together, mostly themed around a General. I use the option for partial squads in most of these. It will help with filler units versus everyone having Isamu and Marcu : )

AQUILLA
Pod # 1
Jarek Guy (c3v)
M-43 Resistance x3

Pod# 2
Mogrimm Forgehammer
Axe Grinderx x2
+ 1 Axe Grinder (partial squad)

Pod # 3
Darrak Ambershard
Ulfrid Hornwranger (c3v)
Eldgrim
B-11 Resistance (c3v)

ULLAR
Pod # 1
Ulginesh
Arkmer
Johrdawn

Pod #2
Chardis
Emirroon
Kyntela
Wardens of the Wood (NWHC)

Pod #3
Haduc (c3v)
Aubrien Archers x2
+ 2 Aubriens (partial squad)

VYDAR
Pod # 1
Elaria the Pale (c3v)
Warforged Soldiers x3

Pod #2
MicroCorp Agents x3

Pod #3

Laglor
MicroCorp Troopers x2 (c3v)
+ 1 Trooper (partial squad)

Re: Everett, WA - Hero/Kai-scape Tournament 3/18

Thanks for the Pod ideas! I will post the pre-built pods that I will have on hand for anyone to use (especially the newbies) by this weekend.

If you are like me, you are just starting to think about your pods . . . before you do, please consider:

In the effort to aid in the utilization of lower ranked units, the birthday boy (obfuscatedhippo/Kai) has proposed the following point adjustments for C- and lower figures. The event organizer has endorsed and has made it official. When calculating your pods, the following units will only cost the adjusted points listed in bold at the end of each line. Let me or obfuscatedhippo know if you have questions.

Unit/Rating = Original Cost, Adjusted Cost
Agent Carr C+ = 100, 90
Brandis Skyhunter C+ = 90, 80
Erevan Sunshadow C+ = 80, 70
Sujoah C+ = 180, 150
Sharwin Wildborn C+ = 110, 90
Gurei-Oni C+ = 100, 80
Shaolin Monks C = 80, 60
Acolarh C- = 110, 90
DzuTeh C- = 75, 60
Deathwalker 8000 C- = 130, 110
Deathwalker 9000 C- = 140, 120
Dund C- = 110, 90
Einar Imperium C- = 140, 110
Empress Kiova C- = 90, 80
Grok Riders C- = 130, 110
Roman Archers C- = 55, 45
Runa C- = 120, 100
Sahuagin Raider C- = 25, 20
Shades of Bleakewoode C- = 100, 80
Templar Cavalry C- = 120, 100
Warden 816 C- = 90, 80
Deadeye Dan D = 60, 50
Major X17 D = 100, 80
Marro Drudge D = 50, 40
Moriko D = 110, 90
Obsidian Guards D = 100, 80
Shiori D = 60, 50
Deathwalker 7000 F = 100, 50

Oh boy, adjusted point values! That's pretty cool, other than that now I have to scrap all my previous pod ideas.

Re: Everett, WA - Hero/Kai-scape Tournament 3/18

Update:

It looks like we will have 16 players, give or take a couple. I am excited!

See the previous post for the armies I will have pre-built (especially for newbies).

I have updated the OP with the Map Pods for the remaining maps. Take a look . . . there are some fun and intriguing units that Kai has designed that I can't wait to get the chance to play.

I will post more information tomorrow, including: menu for dinner, prize support option, two more maps just in case, the glyph pool, and . . . a couple more pre-built pods that will be on hand.

One more week!

Re: Everett, WA - Hero/Kai-scape Tournament 3/18

Also, any interest in Arena of the Planeswalkers (AotP)?

It would be more like a demo game ~ we can set up on normal 'Scape maps though summoning adds some threat range.

If folks are interested, I can bring some pre-built armies & spell decks.

Otherwise - there will be plenty of 'Scape going on already!!

Thanks again, Nomad & the Nomads for hosting us all.

I already have Raeza in one of the map pods. Good idea.
