I know they are not a "hair band" as such, but when I think of 80's metal, Slayer could mop the floor with any of the bands mentioned. The first 3 Metallica albums are worthy, and most of Exodus' albums (especially Bonded by Blood), but Cinderella give me a rash.
I listened to punk more than anything else in the 80's- Bad Brains, Crass, Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Black Flag. It seemed to have alot more relevance. Just my two cents.
