As eager as I am to help on this project, it might be a bit before I can get some real testing in. I've got Marvel on order with my Wave 7 set, which sadly won't arrive for a couple weeks. That said, this guy's been through the ringer more times than any custom I've seen. He's pretty thoroughly hammered out, but definitely needs some playtesting still.

I will add him to a couple of games this week.
As it stands now, I like him a lot and I think we have our first Tried & true |

and that's all I have to say for the moment. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I have some questions regarding his Bat-a-rang ability It says to choose two figures. Does he have to choose two or can he attack just one if he wants? I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be "must choose two" or "may choose two". And when it says he can attack again after using the Bat-a-rang Special Attack, does the second attack have to be a Bat-a-rang Special Attack too or can it be a normal attack? And if it is the special attack, can he attack the same figures he did the first time?

The intention is that he can attack just one if he wants (though only once) or he can attack two (sort of like Nilfheim's ice shard breath). When he attacks again, it has to be with the Bat-a-rang Special Attack - which shouldn't be too hard to figure out from the text there, b/c his regular attack is range 1 and Batman can only use the Bat-a-rang Special attack when he's not engaged. Therefore, it would never be *possible* for him to use his normal attack for the second attack. And, yes, he can attack the same figures he did the first time - there's nothing in the text that says he can't.

So am I correct in assuming he can attack 4 different figures per turn using the Bat-a-rang? If so, that's pretty cool!

edit: would this power be clearer if I made it "choose up to two figures within clear line of sight to attack"? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

That shouldn't be too much to squeeze in. I'll wait on making a change like that until I see if there are any other needed changes, though.

He looks quite good, and I do think he will likely make it in. I will try and playtest him later (as a proxy, of course) and see how he does.
The only thing I can see that might need to be clarified (partly as has been said) is on the Batarang attack. I see the potential of it being misinterpreted as using the power all on the same figure. I'm not sure how necessary it would be, but perhaps it should say, "Choose up to two different figures." |
