Character Bio - Edward Blake started his crime fighting career in the Minute Men, a group of masked heroes who were basically celebrities in their time. During his time there, his true personality started to show, with not only his excessive violence, but also his attempted rape of Sally Jupiter, the Silk Spectre and eventual mother of Laurie Juspeczyk, the second Silk Spectre. He was eventually voted off of the team.
He then joined the military, serving in both World War II and the Vietnam War, working as an undercover black ops operative. He showed no pity, even enjoying himself as he killed.
It wasn't until later, right before his mysterious death at the hands of an unknown assailant, that the Comedian finally stopped laughing.

Choose a figure to attack. Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by this special attack. Comedian only needs a clear sight shot at the chosen figure. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. Comedian cannot be affected by his own Auto Shotgun Special Attack. When Comedian attacks with this special attack, he may attack one additional time.

FLAMETHROWER SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 2 + Special. Attack 4.
Choose a figure to attack. You may also choose 3 spaces in a straight line from the targeted figure. All figures on those spaces are also affected by this special attack. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. Figures with the Lava Resistant special power are not affected by this special attack.

He has no special powers, so I think a drop to 4 attack would be good, but other than that He looks great!

I figured he's a trained solider/superhero/vigilante so it wouldn't be unthematic. Plus it gives him a reason to not always use his Flamethrower in close combat. However not a big deal to me and easily changeable.

Whenever Comedian is destroyed, place him on a Unique Hero you control, if possible. That Unique Hero rolls one less attack and defense die.

I'm guessing you want Comedian on the card of the Unique Hero?

I don't get the theme behind this at all:

For me, that line is about his mockery of how most people think the details of their life is so important, while he believes that win/lose/live/die it's all the same and it doesn't really matter. Which is why, for me, that power, should there be one, should be a detriment. Like an Initiative reduction for each OM on his card... or a reduction to his own defense against an adjacent attack.... or the removal of OMs from his own card each time a friendly figure is destroyed. It should represent his philosophy of APATHY which btw would be a great personality for him: APATHETIC

It IS a detriment... When he dies, it affects someone on his side and makes them see how nothing matters. And Nihilistic and Apathetic are fairly similar.

I wasn't trying to say that it wasn't a detriment, just not one that makes a lot of sense, and I was also subtly hinting at the potential lack of need for it as a third power at all.

It's your show, but I don't think the theme comes off of it as is, and as a "player", if I don't "get it" I don't want to play it.

I'm just not understanding what's not to get. How would an initiative reduction be more thematic? What I have has Comedian's beliefs/philosophy and once he dies, someone else on his team understands also that nothing matters, and they lose the will to fight.

You'd rather the entire team just move after their opponents' rather than someone losing the will to fight? Sorry, but what I've got seems much more thematic.
