If a creature is ON the glyph, does it trigger the bonus for adjacency? I'm almost sure that does, but still... Who knows

I would actually lean towards no it does not activate. Adjacent and 'on' are two different meanings. It would make more sense if it was both on and adjacent though.
Unfortunately a lot does not make sens in the world of AotP.

Well it would be a good if you are trying to take out a figure on a Glyph, so maybe that is the intent.

I would say that is precisely the intent to put it on a creature that you basically designate as a glyph hunter.

Imagine this on a lantern geist. You can not only recycle the geist, but your target designation of glyph hunter for the turn. Combinatorially, its super flexible and keeps spell cards in hand. Sneaky blue.
