12,680 Point Armies: The Final Battle
After recently exploring the thought of a Heroscape battle that uses every army card, I found something interesting. These armies contain two of each common and uncommon army card and one of each unique.
Jandar, Einar, Ullar, Aquilla includes Samual Brown 12670 points Utgar, Vydar, Valkrill 12680 points Only 10 points of difference! Was this on purpose? I believe this fits the Heroscape lore with their current alliances. Anyways, sometime this spring my friend and I are going to build a map using 1 of each master set and terrain expansion and take a day off work for the most EPIC Heroscape battle I can imagine! We would most likely use 4 sets of order markers each as though there were 8 players. Shout-out to the Hextreme Spreadsheet for assisting my discovery. Oooof! This feels like a week-long game. To me that’s exhausting.

Re: 12,680 Point Armies: The Final Battle
Biggest game I ever played was 5k point armies.
It took almost a week to finish. It was glorious. I do find it very interesting that the generals have similar point values when added up. However, lore-friendly? Probably not. According to the lore, Utgar had like thousands upon thousands of marro and orcs, whereas Ullar for instance only had a small army of protectors. SO to draft two squads of protectors and two squads of marro drones seems a bit.... Lore unfriendly Still a really cool idea to play a massive game like that though. |

Re: 12,680 Point Armies: The Final Battle
Highest I ever did was RotV vs SotM at 1490 points and that took 4 hours over a couple days. I am sure manyC3G match-ups have been in the 5K-10K range, but they have a lot of 400-1600 point heroes. I admire you for trying but will take weeks probably. I think with that many figures it will be light on strategy and more of a grind-fest, although using all the buff figures (healers, Raelin/Taelord, Viking spirits, etc) to their fullest will be best use of strategy.

Re: 12,680 Point Armies: The Final Battle
Actually, 2,000 would still be really high for a Superscape game, and the largest I've ever done has been 2,000 with three players. 12,680.... that sounds like a chore to me.

Sounds like more fun in theory than reality. Good luck, I'd really like to hear how it comes out.

Re: 12,680 Point Armies: The Final Battle
I used to always do 1000 point free for all games before I tried out a 1v1 tournament game. I now greatly prefer the 400-600 point range (although 700 does still hold its appeal for being able to field some more expensive units like Kato with Samurai or the like), since anything more starts to be burdened by Order Markers and a huge time commitment. Best of luck, though--I'd love to hear how this goes if you do it!

Re: 12,680 Point Armies: The Final Battle
I played a C3G 3v3 game with 2,500 points for each army. Galactus was played and totally dominated the board. We didn’t come close to finishing because Galactus ate away the map to show only a sliver of water leading from our start zone to the battlefield which left us pretty much without a chance. fun while it lasted.
