Re: Satellite Dish - Design
Pretty simple one here. Hoping for just a straight conversion.

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
I'd be in favor on it only working with heroes instead of all figures. I saw how you used these on that map test and thought the idea of pulling some of the fight into the corners was a good concept. Just don't want to be running my team off to opposite sides of the board to deal with 1 lonely common squad figure. A common squad could easily send one figure off in the direction of both, knowing they should get control of at least 1 of them vs a non-common squad team.

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
So basically you need a Unique Hero next to it to get the bonus? I could go with that. Don’t need a Rat Swarm or a Maggot operating it.

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
I was first going to suggest Unique hero, then cut the unique aspect in case people still wanted common heroes involved. But I was thinking of the Kree & Yakuza Enforcers types of common heroes, having the Fire Ants control the dish does seem a bit weird. So I'm fine with a unique hero limit as well. Idea being that common human heroes don't know how to work the systems, while unique heroes are generally a more skilled bunch.

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
Unique Hero limit seems good.
For the rookies so they don't have to ask this question... If you win initiative, you may maneuver up to X figures you control that have not moved yet this round up to 4 spaces each with Stealth. Since this happens before any turns happen...I guess this is so Raphael can't get double after initiative moves right? Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
Unique hero doesn't sound bad, that does cut off event heroes though right?
I think the ability to move figures with stealth is going to come in quite handy, could be a good focal point for a map with bonuses like that. No team is going to hate it except like Godzilla I guess... |

Like, if you win initiative, before your first turn of the round? Quote:

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
I would argue that it should still be before your first turn regardless. If someone gets to go first despite losing initiative, that means they have the drop on this as well, IMO.

Re: Satellite Dish - Design
I'm pretty anti cutting out Common Heroes. Most of our military types who would have the know how to run these are commons. I can see the logic in cutting out squads and Event Heroes though.
Maybe the solution is requiring 2+ figures instead of cutting anyone out though. Still makes it useful but requires a 2 Man crew to get the benefit, but 1 enemy can run interference. |
