Re: Jingle Bell Bash (Utah)
I used to build huge maps with all my terrain. I think you'll regret buying that many. The most fun we have had is when we play on smaller maps. My advice is to grab up some expansion packs of figures and spend your other money on other games. Quality not quantity. When buying commons i like to get about 3 squads of each.

Re: Jingle Bell Bash (Utah)
I don't do normal games with big maps, only 3+ player scenarios. Smaller maps really are the best for normal games.

Re: Jingle Bell Bash (Utah)
Once you get a big group going though, big maps become quite fun. Every 2 weeks I have a Big game at my house and I'll make a huge map and it'll be our game day. Last weekend we had 8 people playing! We were supposed to have 10..but 2 didn't show. So in those types of situations, huge maps can be really fun and crazy.

Re: Jingle Bell Bash (Utah)
How do you do those then Sir Heroscape? I feel like it would just take forever, or do have like smaller objectives? Or do you have waves of combat? I've built siege towers and considered doing a long siege, like the attackers take out an outpost on the way to the castle and then siege it, maybe with objectives.

@Scaperedude
, I sent off the Spearmen & Riflemen today, via Priority Mail. It *should* arrive there on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest, I'm told. Let me know when you get it? If it's not there by Tuesday night, I can track it....
Hope you gents have a blast. |

Re: Jingle Bell Bash (Utah)
I just realized...how do you plan on setting up the rounds? Will opponents be determined by Strength of Schedule, total points killed or something? How are gunna determine the winner? Because theoretically someone could play all their games against really inexperienced players...whereas Strength of schedule matches up those who have similar won/loss standing.
