Also, if anyone has any tips on how to play a good 3 way battle, please don't be shy about sharing. It usually turns into a 2 vs 1 every time we attempt it, and I always get housed.

There is a thread I've made titled "How do you balance 2 Vs 1 games". Lots of good ideas there. We have 3 players games very frequently so I had to find good/fair ways of doing them. You can find it here:

I'm in the 3-4 player group.

When we have 3 players, we usually have 1 person with two armies so it's effectively a 4 player game. If it's a castle defense setup, we have 2 attackers against the 1 defender (equal points for all armies).

i actually make a mainly 3 way maps. to do this i just make the map symmetical, with a kind of 3-way bottleneck in the middle. try to make it so that its harder for a person to go into someone elses base, and promote fighting in the middle, with glyphs or whatnot.

what happens in most of our games is tha someone wil have fast shock troops (vipers or hounds) that get sent into both the other persons bases. everyone then tries to get control of the middle, or take out the most powerful unit that is in the fray. whenever someone has a lead, both of the otherr players try to knock them down a bit, but any alliance is always just a short one, because of the close quarters involved. our games often come down to 1 piece from each team duking it out. my fav was the battle where i had one arrow grut, my friend had one marro warrior, and my other friend had sudeema. sudeema stoned the last marro, and the arrow grut got height on her and took out her last skull.

i find that 3 way maps are a good map to have built because you can still play 2 player games, and cause 3 player games are so much shorter than 4 player and therefore much more doable. also, since the pieces are hex based its so much easier to make everything symmetrical.

Since I only really play with my brother it's normaly only a two player game
