I made a new pattern for the tower. I didn't like the last one I made.
Here, I glued and wrapped the foam around the cardboard tube. Then I cut a notch in the foam to fit around the top tile. Then I glued the tower to a 7-hex base. I also used some castle pieces as a jig so the top and bottom tile would line up. Applesauce anyone? Then I painted it. First with a base of black paint/glue mixture to seal it. Then with lighter shades of warm grey. I tinted a few bricks with more brown. Then a drybrush of white to top it off. I'll post some pics of it on an actual board. Maybe attached to a castle . . . |

Raudulfr the tower looks awesome. I think you should call it an AERIE.
aerie \EYE-ree\, noun: 1. The bird's nest built on a lofty place, such as a cliff or mountaintop. 2. A dwelling or stronghold located in a lofty place. I have always imagined that the Kyrie would have strongholds without ground-level doors in order to the beasts out, and that they would be called aeries. |

Interesting. One of the reasons I didin't like my first layout on foam was because of the windows. |

That tower is amazing. The only problem is that I don't want to give up two 7 hexers. Plus I can't draw skillfully enough to make the cobblestone. But good work.
