Re: The Book of Satanus (Design Phase)
I never got the feel that he was this powerful from what I read about him while working on my Devil Dino design.

Re: The Book of Satanus (Design Phase)
He can't be mind controlled and he can't use equipment and I don't think he should be auto-destroyed. And he's definitely an event!

I agree about avoiding auto destroy abilities though. “Have you ever hoped for something? And held out for it against all the odds? Until everything you did was ridiculous? "

Re: The Book of Satanus (Design Phase)
Event hero was a Margloth suggestion. He also came up with Chomping Spree(thanks Margloth). I wanted to add in a negative power called Tiny Arms that would not allow Satanus to use Equipment Glyphs. Margloth suggested making him an Event Hero which would accomplish the same thing plus it gives him the auto-destroy protection.
In the comics he is pretty epic. He takes on Judge Dredd plus some other Judges. They also have combat robots armed with flamethrowers and a tank. Satanus takes them all on. In another 2000AD series, Nemesis, Thoth(son of Nemesis) chooses Satanus as his pet and they travel through time destroying the many incarnations of Torquemada before being finally returned to his original time millions of years ago. He is one of those characters that can turn up any time anywhere and take on all challengers. I like Dinosaur for Species. If there is ever any synergy down the road I hope all futures dinos are so titled. Satanus is a T-Rex. He is giant for one at ten tons( I believe most estimates believe the biggest were maybe 8 tons). The art has changed from artist to artist over the years. The original artwork is from the late 70s.

Re: The Book of Satanus (Design Phase)
I think we should go with this figure from Mojo, available from Hobby Lobby.
It is available online here. We can consider painting it black also. I may pick up a second one just so I can paint it. EDIT: Another pic

Re: The Book of Satanus (Design Phase)
Not exactly how I remember it. I will have to pull out my old Nemesis comics, but I believe it was more of a homesickness. If there was some kind of weakness, I would imagine it was caused by too many leaps through time.

Re: The Book of Satanus (Design Phase)
I got it for $5 from Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago. It looks like it is $6 with $2 shipping until the 15th.

Edit: I looked again and this time I tried to actually buy the Figure. Instead of the quoted 6 bucks in shipping charges for subtotals up to $15 they only charge 2 bucks. So: Merchandise Sub Total $5.99 Est. Shipping $1.95 Est. Total $7.94 8 is way better than 12 “Have you ever hoped for something? And held out for it against all the odds? Until everything you did was ridiculous? "
