Re: The Book of Parked Car - Design Phase
D20 powers might be able to put the last wound on it.
Also, I got 2 army tests done with them and am partially done typing them up. Lots of fun throwing them, though no explosions Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you ...Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man TUTORIAL FOR RE-BASING FIGURES 3hrs 43mins 32secs = 1242nd of 8808 overall - 1988 Honolulu Marathon |

Re: The Book of Parked Car - Design Phase
C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT PARKED CAR DESTRUCTIBLE OBJECT - THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them. PASS - MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game. PASS - BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding. PASS - SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak. PASS – - POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any. PASS - FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play. PASS. - FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against. PASS- - DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting. PASS – - USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable. PASS – . - STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game. PASS -. It's fun to throw these cars. Especially for non-ranged figures with SS and for ranged figures with SS to be able to throw them and still attack with range. Figures can attack them if have no other option to hope for explosion or weaken them for chance of explosion later and weaken them to reduce their lives so opponent's can't cause as much damage when throwing them. Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No?.YES - What should be the unit's point value? .NA - Give a brief overview...Fun and close game. Throwing cars is fun and both cars ended up getting destroyed, but neither exploded. It was cool in a game with a lot of figures with SS being able to toss the Cars back and forth, hoping to dish wounds from the throw as well as hoping for the extra one from the explosion. Easy to figure out placement of Cars when throwing, so there's nothing complicated. Map: X Marks The Spot with 2 parked car DO's PC1 and PC2 and 2 Tractor Trailers as obstacles. Units: . Superman II (450) Supergirl (320) and Beat Cops x 1 (65) for 835 points VS. Battlesuit Lex (280) Metallo (290) and Lex Corps Security x 2 (260) for 830 points.
Spoiler Alert!
Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? .YES What should be the unit's point value? .NA - Give a brief overview. .Another fun game. Parked Cars got thrown a little and one caught fire but didn't explode. Hero team didn't have any figures with SS to throw them, so they just tried to avoid them. Parasite threw them while on his way to try to attack Punisher and others, but Punisher got a nice Rocket attack vs. whiff defense by Parsasite to stop that. Shocker could be really useful against Parked Cars with his Shockwave attack, especially if the car has some wounds and enemies are around it, he could have a nice chance to give out a bunch of wounds by reducing the car's defense enough to raise the chances if it exploding. Can't wait to see that. Map: .X Marks The Spot with 2 parked cars PC1 and PC2 and 2 Tractor Trailers as obstacles. Units: .Punisher (180) Hawkeye (160) Code Blue Officer x 2 (140) Robin (100) and Wasp (50) for 630 points vs. Parasite (240) Green Goblin (230) and Shocker (160) for 630 points.
Spoiler Alert!

Re: The Book of Parked Car - Design Phase
They look fine and fun enough. I don't mind that they're not blowing up too often. Units that have DO specific powers should still be able to take advantage of them well.
Here's my pre-yea for playtesting. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Parked Car - Design Phase
Well I know that Griff was worried about them blowing up too much. It's just not the case from what I experienced. So while it's a nice power that can happen occasionally and be memorable, it's not gamebreaking. That's kind of what I expect from Tractor Trailers and Unsure Footing. The Trucks will mostly be LOS blockers and obstacles to gain height advantage, but the only time you really are going to waste an attack on it to knock someone off is if you can get multiple units off it possibly for multiple fall damage or placing someone next to Blob, Electro etc., or if you have a ranged unit up there and a figure like Rhino or Juggernaut that wants to charge the truck to knock the oppnent down to ground level.

Pre-Yea
I think that this DO will be a nice compliment to maps like X Marks the Spot. Add a some additional options for our SS friends. |

Re: The Book of Parked Car - Design Phase
It helps add a reason to go to the interection more instead of to one structure or the other. I only used 2 cars, but I imagine if you add a couple more parked cars and a couple sports cars, it could be some crazy fun mayhem all over.
