Is Ron Paul Going Insane?

[Gulp]

I was a fan of some of Ron Paul's economic ideas as well as a states' rights first style of gov't. Even recently, after getting disappointed that Obama appears to be just another center-right disappointment I thought, 'Maybe, Ron Paul wouldn't have been so bad.' Now it appears he's going insane.

After watching the latest Real Time with Bill Maher on YouTube one of the suggested clips that popped up was Ron Paul on the Alex Jones radio show. For those of you who don't know Alex Jones, he's one of the top cheerleaders for conspiracy theories such as 9/11 'Truth' and every New World Order conspiracy you can think of. So with a sigh I listened as long as my stomach would allow, and sure enough Ron Paul apparently fully believes in the NWO.

I post this because I want to hear from some of the people who were big Ron Paul supporters during the primaries. What's going on with your man?

I like the idea of states right for stuff I believe in like legallizing marijuana, but then I realized that it wouldn't be used for benign reasons. It would pretty much become the South's rise again after all these years. Ron Paul's racist newsletters blew it for me too, but the number of nonracist people who love his libertarianism can't be overlooked and some other politician is going to jump on that.

Yeah, I thought that the idea of less federal control over certain things was a good idea too, I just never thought he was the one to do it correctly.

Compared to most of the industrialized, most Democrats are Center-Right. Unfort, Republicans apparently are thinking going farther to the right will help them, which just means they will get trounced in the next presidential election.

And if you didn't think Ron Paul was insane, you never listened to any of his policies.

Since when did raising taxes, socialized health care, government home bailouts,government and union owned automakers, international appeasement, pro-abortion, preventing drilling, government buying our vehicles back from us, just to name a few, become a conservative platform....

The Conservative party has shifted into the role of yesteryears democrats, plain and simple. The true conservatives have not gotten elected since Reagan left office...and the whole thing has slid somewhat left since then.

Obama is as much center right as I am a Phillipino Poll Dancer....wishing for either one of those two things does not make it true.

Some folks believe these truths to be self-evident and others believe them to be evidently selfish.
