What??? exclusives in wave 10 happy they do it and the game does not end after wave 9...... BUT:
I emtied my entire bank account to get those couple of exclusive figures and now they are normal booster figures.
EDIT: They'd better be really new sculpts (instead of repaints)!!!!

You'll still be able to tell the difference between the Gencon ones and the Wave 10 ones. The new ones should say that they are from Valkrill's Gambit set on the back of the card. The Gencon ones say some nifty name such as "Hawthorne's Arrival" as the set.

You will still have a "special" and "rarer" one if it means that much to you.

There are supposed to be differences that will distinguish your original figures from this re-release. Which is good if you're a collector, but if you just want the figures to play the game...well you still got there first.

So did the lava tiles get a close range incinerate power to use with claiming the high ground? Or does a figure now have the power to break my heart?

Gain High Ground- A Quasatch who moves this turn and ends their turn higher then an adjacent enemy figure adds 1 additional attack die against that figure.

But it has something to with a fixed move number, just like Drake's Grapple Gun. It has a move of four that cannot be modified. Gain High Ground is in that category in the FAQ.

Your idea sounds like a variant of Sighting for the Microcorp. It would appear, however, that the power is probably more a variant of Grapple Gun than anything else.
