DEBUT ACT
Start the game with Clayface on this card. If a friendly figure is attacked and Clayface has not yet been placed on the battlefield, you may place that friendly figure unengaged up to 6 spaces away from its current placement, ignoring any leaving engagement attacks. Place Clayface on the space previously occupied by that figure, then defend against that attack with Clayface.

CLAYMATION
Instead of attacking, choose up to 3 small or medium figures within 3 clear sight spaces of Clayface. Players must roll the 20-sided die once for each chosen figure they control. If they roll 7 or lower, that figure receives 1 wound and you may place it on a space engaged with Clayface, ignoring any leaving engagement attacks. Opponents may not move small or medium figures engaged with Clayface, and must subtract 3 from 20-sided die rolls they make for them.

CLAY CONSTRUCTION
If Clayface would receive one or more wounds, ignore one of those wounds. If he defends against an opponent's attack without receiving any wounds, you may immediately use his Claymation special power.

Really dig Debut Act, nice way to get him into the battle as anyone. No real concerns here, this design seems fairly straightforward and fun.

I did think Archie's (I think it was his) slip of paper choose a figure that he's disguised as at the beginning of the game idea was worth considering, though.

I definitely consider all suggestions, but it appears I forgot to reply to it.

Not against it in theory. Could be interesting. My reservations:

The extra verbiage would push the font size lower than my personal standard, so unless we can find a way to make that work with minimal text, I'd prefer to keep it lighter.

You would also need to account for the cases where that figure gets locked down/tied up by the likes of Stuck, or outright destroyed, how that would affect Clayface. As-is, he's got other options. Choosing one figure could see him locked out of the game.

Fair enough. I definitely prefer to keep the text reasonable.

There is a potential disconnect here in a couple fashions:

1. If he is impersonating them, how is he using their powers like flying or mind control etc.

2. When he swaps in, he’s pretty much a sitting duck, with no defensive abilities or means of taking a turn that round.

Those probably need addressed, as I feel they will likely lead to a negative play experience.

Maybe swap the healing back to an end of round thing so he can at least tank a few hits without OMs. Or let you move OMs from the switched figure to his card. I'm not sure there's an easy way around the impersonating special powers bit.

The faction helps with some of that (Giganta for defensive help, Reverse Flash for some movement, Grodd for activation). Makes me wonder if the faction needs more of an Order Marker hub.

Not sure what to think on the theme question except hasn’t he stolen powers before as well? Or is that just Hagen?

I like Archie’s suggestion for the other part.

Yeah, that’s Matt Haven’s deal. As much as I like the power, maybe it’s better saved for a Matt Hagen version then? Might feel a bit odd to send out Reverse-Flash, zooming across the map, Brainiac Mind Melting, Flyers, Mind Controllers etc. only to reveal it was Clayface all along.

Alternatively, we could go with more of a Plastic Man II route, or just something else entirely.
