Apparently not anymore - the Ohio thread seems to have vanished.

naps420 Woo who?
Wow, very strange. The other Ohio thread was just here a few days ago.

Anyway, with the new thread, wanted to say hey. As the side bar says, I am up in Bowling Green, Ohio. Been playing Heroscape now for about 7 months or so. I build alot though. If you've browsed the map's thread you might stumble onto the monster that is my map collection to date (which is like, 3-4 months worth at the moment). Some small...some I don't see ever being built. Currently working with the Scenario Writers Guild, helping in a great project that is going into the playtesting phase now on a 2 vs 1 scenario. Maybe someday soon, I will find the means to get to a local tourny!!

I am right up the road from you SLOBotsky713 . Me and a few friends usually play alot, I haven't played a game in almost a week though. Maybe I'll get a chance to see you out on the battlefield someday

Well, local is relative - I liked the Columbus tournament enough to want to run my own, and I've secured a location. Preliminary information is here: http://heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=7205, much still to be done, but the date is set (May 19th). So I posted for preliminary discussion hoping to get a clue as to likely attendance and to pin down a couple of details.

One such detail is maps - right now I'm asking for suggested favorites. I'll have to take a look at yours and see if anything seems suitable for the tournament. That's one way to get someone to come - use one of their maps and they *have* to show up.

I have two major problems with going to a tourny. The first being, I have no car but do have friends who would be willing to go and join as well. The biggest one though, I always work Saturdays, which are also the hardest to get someone to cover for me. One of these days, I'll have to bribe my way into a day off. If you see any map you like, let me know. I have .pdf and .hsc for most of the maps built using VirtualScape. Alot of them require lots (and some TONS) of sets, but I do have a good handfull of small maps that could work, depending on your taste for tourny maps. Feel free to use any regardless if I can show up though.

Hello Ohio,

Wow, that sucks our old thread is gone.

OHIO RULES!

Still the only state to give real gold to the tourney winners, now that says something! ( No I am not sure what it says, but it says something).

Murduk, if your having a contest in May, ask Truth if he is still having his this May? That is when he held his last year. If you do have a tourney, let me know, I would be willing to send a nugget of gold for the winner.

I don't think I am heading to Ohio till the fall, we have decided to forgo the trip in May and just hang in Florida, but if I can find a really cheap flight I could see coming up for some tourney action

Hmm, I didn't see any mention of it, but I will ask.

I knew I was forgetting something! I asked (strongly implying I'd move mine if he was going to have one), and he said he was not having one in May. Probably just as happy to let someone else have the hassle?

The Bookery Fantasy will be a great place to hold a tournament. Everybody who goes should walk across the street to the comic store as well.

I'll RSVP as the date gets closer.
