Move and attack comes with its own set of burdens, where you can’t do all the stuff you’d normally do in a turn that’s not moving or attacking.

I personally prefer the current way, even if it blocks off the Arthrian Invaders->Host double turn. They can still work with Mr. Mind in several ways, and I actually think having a Conqueror that’s not on the battlefield to be destroyed is a big benefit to them. The Arthrian’s weakness has always been losing their Conqueror head, so picking Mind and hiding him inside of say...your opponent’s Prof X could potentially be useful.

There's definitely merit to that, if a little boring to have him sitting doing nothing. There's a lot of strong conquerors, so Mind's benefit will likely be in his cost compared to folks like Megatron.

Other than before/after taking a turn style things, wouldn't move and attack still offer most of the same benefits of a turn (looking at a design currently in playtesting for comparison there)? I definitely want the society to work well with him in this regard, but that may just be a specific way to build their synergy later, rather than worrying too much about Arthrians now.

I could be totally off-base on this, but my understanding is that a lot of powers that trigger before/after moving/attacking refer to specific “phases” of a full turn, so would not be useable when not doing a turn. Forex, I don’t think you’d be able to use Jean Grey’s Telekinetic Toss.

I kind of like that as it give him more of a defensive ability but then again in a frightful four battle I like Klaw disorienting guys and his teammates getting to take advantage of that...so maybe Keep Sonic Assault and increasing it back to figures within 2 spaces of Klaw...
Considering going for an oddball pick from the past for the public nominations thread cause I really think we need a Klaw at some point. I think this is a really solid design, but I wanted to see if anybody had any thoughts about it.

I'd love to see Klaw! There's nothing wrong with that draft, but it's not particularly exciting as there's nothing really new there. I think there's room to go with something more flashy for a "disorienting" power instead of renaming Imposing Presence. A more powerful Sonic Assault or something like The Top's power could be interesting. Of course, not every design has to be new and flashy.

I think we totally could go flashier, but I actually really like the way the basic concept works with the other Frightful Four designs. Wizard gives him that slight move boost for positioning, while Traspter (and even Medusa, if you want to throw her in there) can tie down the enemy while Klaw subtracts from their stats.

I'd love to see Klaw as well! Taskmaster, Crossbones, Klaw, and Grim Reaper have long been my list of forgotten Avengers villains I'd love to see. We've been getting through those as of late.

C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I like that basic draft for Klaw. I'd definitely slot him in as a Criminal as he's a sort of "generic bad guy" a lot of the time. Sonic Cannon makes sense and some form of disorientation as well.

I'm not sure if I'd do Klaw with high life, fairly low defense, or low life and high defense. He's super durable but also tends to get torn apart into a million pieces a lot. I'd almost consider giving him Tough or something like that - vulnerable to non-standard attacks.

I'd also probably try to work in some form of... like, assassination, thieving, that sort of thing. His most iconic moment is breaking into Wakanda to steal vibranium and killing T'Challa's father. Something like this comes to mind:

SONIC ASSASSINATION 3
Figures roll 1 fewer defense die when attacked by Klaw for each Order Marker or Equipment Glyph on their Army Card, to a maximum of 3 fewer defense dice.

Very good at taking "leaders" (i.e. OM hogs) and people with goodies.

That list is one I had too.

Oh good call. I love Vertigo and use her a lot. Let me think a bit and I’ll post up some revisions.

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.
