Units: Solid Snake (175), Winter Soldier 2, Sgt. Rock (590) VS Flash Barry, Kid Flash Wallace, Batman 1 (590)

Winter Soldier chooses Snake for Military Duo.

The speedsters start things off, while Rock and Winter Soldier manage a couple wounds on them. Snake slinks in for a big sneak attack on Flash, but Flash dodges anyway. The Speedsters bring Rock to 3 wounds.

Winter Soldier takes out Kid Flash. Flash takes out Rock and wounds Snake. Snake remembers this isn’t Smash Bros, he has a gun, and starts shooting at Flash with his FAMAS. He misses all his shots, but Flash dodges right into a haymaker from Winter Soldier which takes him out. Snake shoots his FAMAS at Batman, who dodges and kills Snake with evasive strike. Batman and Winter Soldier then duke it out. Batman has pretty godly dice and clinches the win.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Batman (1 wound) wins.

Winter Soldier chooses Snake for Military Duo.

Sgt. Rock and Winter Soldier take out a few ninjas while the ninjas whittle away at Rock’s health. Kitana takes out Sgt. Rock, though Winter Soldier has Rock’s six and kills Kitana. Snake and Bucky kill some ninjas, just like one of those Japanese animes. Snake finishes off the Ninjas while Bucky wounds Don. Don eventually finishes Bucky off, but Snake takes him out for the win.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Felt really fun, very much like Snake. I liked the interplay between the powers. Felt pretty balanced at 180 and he fits really well into the growing Soldier faction.

Just an idea I had, it’d be cool if Snake subtracted from the defending figure’s 20-sided die rolls when he attacked with Tactical Espionage Action as well. It’d him get around Batman’s defensive power and similar stuff a little easier.

Bit of a rough going for the Avengers here. They started off well getting rid of Moon Knight and Iron Fist pretty quickly, but Nova and Cage wrecked them.

Decent back and forth that started out really hot with Cyclops putting the hurt on 3/4 of the Soldiers, but then he fell quickly in return. The Soldiers managed to fight back, Domino being the biggest challenge, but ultimately came back top win it.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
Simple and straight forward design. His Sneaking Suit didn't come into play for me here, but that's because I pushed hard in each game to make use out of Tactical Espionage Action when possible, then fell back onto using the FAMAS. Feels balanced to me at 170-180.

TACTICAL ESPIONAGE ACTION

If Snake attacks an adjacent figure that he was not engaged with at the start of his turn with his normal attack, if he has not used his FAMAS Special Attack this round, subtract 2 dice from the defending figure's defense and, if the defending figure rolls the 20-sided die, subtract 2 from the roll.

FAMAS SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 5. Attack 4 + Special.
When Snake attacks with FAMAS Special Attack, he may attack two additional times, rolling 1 fewer attack die for each subsequent attack. After using FAMAS Special Attack, Snake cannot use his Sneaking Suit special power for the remainder of the round.

SNEAKING SUIT
When adjacent to any terrain, obstacle, or destructible object with a height higher than Snake’s base, Snake cannot be targeted by opponents' non-adjacent figures for any attacks or special powers that require clear sight.
