Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
My first thought was like, blanks count as an additional hit, too (like skull = 2 hits, blank = 1 hit).
I think 7 Life would be justifiable for her, too, but that would probably be overcompensating and push her more toward like... 350. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
The Defy Death roll can help with the oomf for the points. Extra life or blanks as skulls are good ways to up it here too. Just be careful not to go too far.
Fantastic job turning around these tests so quick! Like Superheroes and Comics?

Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
So I was looking over this thread before posting and realized the wording on Mega-Rod is a bit off. My intent was that you'd only get that boost to Mega-Rod when you FIRST move into an engagement with a figure that was already tied down, but I think the wording here doesn't communicate that. This is the power as-is:
MEGA-ROD SPECIAL ATTACK Range 4. Attack 2 + Special. When attacking with this special attack, each skull rolled counts as one additional hit. If the defending figure is engaged with Big Barda and, at the start of this turn, was engaged with a figure other than Big Barda, roll 2 additional dice. And my intent is it should be more like this: MEGA-ROD SPECIAL ATTACK Range 4. Attack 2 + Special. When attacking with this special attack, each skull rolled counts as one additional hit. If the defending figure is engaged with Big Barda and, at the start of this turn, was engaged with a friendly figure and not engaged with Big Barda, roll 2 additional dice. @Ronin - I assume you played her as getting that boost regardless of whether or not it she was engaged to the figure at the start of the turn? Did that still play well for you? I don't mind keeping it as-is if it feels balanced and does help them play well as a team. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
Actually, I think this would convey it a little more clearly.

Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
Yeah, I played it as-written rather than as-intended.
It wasn't overwhelmingly powerful, but it definitely did feel a little strong, and I like it better the way you intended it. You've dropped the adjacency requirement for the attack boost there, Karat. |

Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
I see that. I feel like it's confusing in there...maybe if we made it "...When attacking an adjacent figure, if it..."

Re: The Book of Big Barda (Initial Playtest Phase)
Maybe this is a bit cleaner?
MEGA-ROD SPECIAL ATTACK Range 4. Attack 2 + Special. When attacking with this special attack, each skull rolled counts as one additional hit. When attacking an adjacent figure, if that figure was engaged with another figure you control at the start of the turn and was not engaged with Big Barda, roll 2 additional dice. In any case, some wording that communicates that intent. I PROPOSE WE MOVE TO PLAYTESTING while we hash it out. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!
