Same here. I know he got flak for how basic/blunt his commentating was, but I absolutely appreciated it. Looking back, these are some of my favorite quotes from him:

• "If the quarterback throws the ball in the end zone and the wide receiver catches it, it's a touchdown."

• “Here’s a guy who can use his arms and legs at the same time.”

Makes it possible for the Saints to run the bird gauntlet next year: they play the Ravens, Cardinals, Seahawks, Eagles, and Falcons. It’s a rare thing, but now more possible and we see it next year!
