Character Bio - The Norse God of Light, Balder the Brave is a half brother to the Thunder God Thor, and close friend to the Warriors Three and a loyal follower and son of Odin. They are all inhabitants of the realm of Asgard. Balder has aided Thor against many of his foes, such as Skagg the Storm Giant, Surtur, Loki, the Executioner, Enchantress, the Enchanters Three, the Wrecker, and Mangog. Balder is the catalyst that will trigger Ragnarök and end Asgard. To prevent this, Balder's mother Frigga cast spells on Balder to keep him invulnerable.

FRIGGA'S MAGIC BLESSING
When Balder would be destroyed in any way except by this special power, instead he takes no damage, and you must roll 1 combat die:
• If you roll a skull, place 1 Wound Marker on this card; or
• If you roll a shield, remove 1 Wound Marker from this card; or
• If you roll a blank, inflict 1 wound on any figure within clear line of sight.

RAGNAROK
When Balder is destroyed, roll 1 unblockable attack die against each figure on the battlefield, one at a time. For the rest of the game, all Asgardians add 2 additional dice to their attack and subtract 2 dice from their defense.

Ragnarok is really cool, it's gonna make him a must draft with Odin!

Also, in God of Light, it should be an "X" Order Marker. And I like how that affects all figures including your own so you won't automatically want to use it each round.

Yeah, and if you are running all or most Asgardians, forcing the fight to go melee is gonna be SICK for them, especially for the melee Warriors 3.

But if you try to run him with the Fantastic Four, he'll kill Invisible Woman's defensive boost. Hence the win/lose, some cases it will be really helpful, sometimes it will hurt you more. I really like it.

Yeah, in a Fan 4 army, I wouldn't bother with Sue if I was drafting Balder. I am very excited to run Balder 420, Sif 230, Thor 430, and Warriors 3 920 = 2000

I plan on tweaking Balder to get him there too, if Hahma will let me.

Dang, then I have to add Odin and some Asgardian Warriors so that'll be like a 3000 point army test when I get to that.

LOL Yeah, it aint gonna be cheap, but it will be worth it. Run that army against Laufey and Frost Giants and Loki!!!

I like what you've got here. Just a couple of notes.

First, from what I've seen/heard this guy is second only to Thor as a warrior. So attack of 6 seems a bit too low. The other stats are fine given his special powers, but I'd like to see an attack of 7 at least.
