Back on topic though, I like Mimring. Sure he has low life and pathetic defense but he's a dragon that bonds! Plus, he's cheap and if you're playing him, you're often playing Krug and who could hate that besides your opponent?

Why no love for Braxas? She's the only "Sexy" beast so far. 8 life and acid breath. If it wasn't for the damn low defense . . .

My Braxas did fall to Jexix's Nilf at GenCon '08, but that was only because his rat on the defense glyph had acid-resistant armor (3 failed attempts).

I did manage to take out 9 charging Marro Drones in one turn with Braxas. She took 7 wounds as they managed to get a dozen or so attacks with their special ability, but she barely survived to acid breath the last 3 down. While she didn't earn her points that game, it was a lot of fun wiping them out so fast.

With only three maximum targets for Acid Breath per turn, I'm impressed!

I love love love Nilfheim, but he's pretty big, and that makes him borderline clunky on smaller maps, which I mainly play on.

Braxas is an absolute beast, and she fits in tight spaces better than Nilfheim, but she doesn't have the raw power.

At the end of the day, Nilfheim gets my vote.
