The Book of Glyph of Lazarus Pit
The Book of Glyph of Lazarus Pit FULL HEALING C3G DC WAVE 12 LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT When a Unique Hero stops here, remove all Wound Markers and Order Markers from its Army Card. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - There are only a few of these pits in existence, and they are not commonly known of either. Legend tells us that any man who submerges himself into the hot liquid of a Lazarus Pit shall rise again completely healed of his injuries - including old age. It is the proverbial Fountain of Youth and that is to say that it bestows immortality to anyone that controls one or more of these life giving pools. However, the one drawback is that any person who submerges their body in these healing waters will, for a brief moment, lose control of their thoughts and actions, rendering them temporarily insane. _________________________________________________________________ -Type of Glyph-

Re: The Book of Glyph of Lazarus Pit - Designing
I could see having some sort of "go crazy" element for thematic purposes, but I much prefer a simple, straight forward approach for gameplay. I think this cuts the mustard.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Lazarus Pit - Designing
It just a pic I got off line. I don't actually want to use this image, I just wanted a visual for a concept. What I would like for the glyph would be for the artist to create a lava pool in the gravel and then show some lava glowing through some of the cracks in the rocks. |

Cool, not much to say pretty straightforward power.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Lazarus Pit - Designing
I am with Bats. I really think a 50-50 chance to heal or go crazy would be cool. What about this?
"When one of your figures stops here, roll a 20 sided die. If you roll a 1-10 remove all wounds from its Army Card and place your figure adjacent to the figure closest to it and immediately attack that figure. If two figures are equal distance, your opponent chooses where this figure is placed. If you roll a 11-20 remove all wound markers from its Army Card." Still pretty simple, but it has that crazy mechanic. Also, a Lazarus Pit never loses its power so I am not crazy about the Temporary Glyph, but I do realize it would/could/should be broken if permanent. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. I think you missed part of my post.

No, I just thought this was still pretty simple. (Compared with Cosmic Control Rod, Temporal Glyphs, Cosmic Cube, and some others, it is!)

Re: The Book of Glyph of Lazarus Pit - Designing
With that approach, if you're removing all wounds either way, why not just put that before listing the results of the D20 roll?

Because I am neither the wordsmith nor the experienced player you are? Did I win? Is that right?
